The HHO is a supplemental fuel to gas. It's not a perpetual motion machine.

A friend of mine here has done the conversion on his F150 and has gained about 40% (from 14 to 19 mpg) more mileage.

    Madcat455 Need..more... AMMO!!!

I Just don't get HOW it works though...

Carbs work by air passing through the venturi, and siphoning the gas out the bowl, aside from the acc. pump.

FI cars, the ECM is preset to run the injectors a certain amount based on TPS, O2, Etc.

HOW exactly does the HHO make the carb put less gas into the air stream?? or the ECM inject less gas??

Does it really make the engine burn that much better where it takes less Throttle to get up to speed, and maintain speed?

Or do you re-jet the carb to allow for the extra HHO??

This whole thing reeks of the Acetone thing:rolleyes:

How does it work? It doesn't. The laws of chemistry and physics do not allow it. It is a combination of wishful thinking and desperation. If increases in fuel mileage are obtained, it is from the automotive equivalent of the placebo effect. After installing the device the driver drives more gently because they are thinking about gas mileage a lot more than before the installation. That results in better gas mileage.

You get the same effect when you strap magnets to your fuel line or insert a Vornado in your intake above or below the carb or throttle body. You want them to work (to improve gas mileage) so you do things differently when you drive to improve mileage. It fades with time.

    WickedWay Got Torque?

All I will say is: make it work, and then let's see what kind of performance we can get out if it.

    skitzofrenic66 What's an Import?

id personally love to see a self perpetuating motor...you know, electric motor with an alternator big enough to charge it as you go! wouldnt that piss off some oil mongers?!

do any of you remember back in the 1950's,physics professors saying it was scientifically impossible for a drag car to exceed 150 mph in the 1/4 mile, drag racers were too stupid to give up,look at todays speeds 330+ I am a skeptic also, but please prove me wrong :idea2:

Nope, don't remember hearing any of this...got any specific quotes from physics professors? After the Manhattan Project, it would be utterly stupid for anyone well versed in physics to say something so silly.

It doesn't work. I know since I was one who got suckered & scammed into buying the online books for $100 from water4gas.com and tried it on my 74 chevy Nova. In addition I spent money on mason jars, plastic lids, stainless steel wire and all other kinds of crap. The problem I believe is that you'll never generate enough gas to make a difference. The people on those forums who say that they are getting great gas mileage, provided they are not part of the scam, are most likely using MAP enhancers to fool the computer into detecting a richer mixture than what is actually going into the engine - the end result is these fools are going to ruin their engine heads with burned valves due to the lean mixture. They say Browns gas, as it's also called, has different properties - It burns faster but with more intensity, hence timing adjustments are necessary. I tried advancing/ retarding the timing; ruined my carb in attempting to tap in more narrow jets to lean out the gasoline but nothing they suggested worked. Subscribing to the site wasn't a totall loss however. There was a lot of interesting links to read and watch videos about other energy technologies and links to free movie sites. The online books however, are poorly punctuated with bad grammar, etc. The creator of the site is apparently an Israeli immigrant and obviously English is his second language.

thanks for checking in with your experience.

i wonder if any of those gung-ho guys will be back to let us know how it worked for them?

how were you treated on the water4gas message boards when you reported problems?
