As Jim stated, he has already been banned. Last week, in fact. And as I said previously, the mod/admin activity is not typically posted up for public viewing. It generally serves no useful purpose, in most cases.

Actually David, I think it does serve a purpose to post the outcome (being banned), otherwise the commotion continues. I think this result will be heartily welcomed by those who have been posting on this thread.

You are correct that we don't need to know what's going on behind the curtain. But I feel we were let in on this a week late. It just kept going and going.:rant:

I just want to add one note to this conversation. Taylor has been a member here for a long time. I understand there have been some members who didn't always get what they expected from him. However, he has also had a lot of satisfied buyers, which must also be taken into account when evaluating a member's status here. Buying/selling used parts will always result in some transactions where a buyer or seller doesn't feel they were treated right. It's the nature of the business, there's a lot of gray area when it comes to one's views of how nice or how poor a part is. Even our own Wildbill has had a dissatisified buyer now and then.

None of this is being stated in direct reference to THIS buyer & seller situation, I'm just saying we will tend to tread carefully when it comes to a situation like this, and not take hasty actions.

I hope you guys can ban his IP address, not just his "user name".

 

It just doesn't make sense that a long-time member would let his reputation go to pieces for 100.00 or so...

He must have lost many times that in revenue from potential sales, which to me would pale in comparison to the damage to his reputation.
