Just found this thread. I can't believe this guy won't refund Bruce the $100.00.

My first transaction regarding buying parts from a V8 Buick board member was with Bruce and it went perfectly. To find out that he is getting screwed over by another board member just sucks.

This situation is being addressed by mods/admin.

 

Wow! Looks like we can add lazy to his resume.
If he would have even bothered to read through the thread he would have remembered that he acknowledged the cost, that he didn't refund the money, and that people have noticed his posting of his spending.

You should contact the local PD and file a thieft report on the person. I bet you're not the only one to get hosed by the con artist. You will at least alert the local authorities that his guy is scamming people.

Good luck, but I can tell you from experience he's probably not going to do the right thing, ever. I got scammed for almost $400 on a different forum. Bad thing about it is if they ban him here he'll probably re-register under a different user name.

Thanks for the idea, I kissed that money good buy a long time ago. It just irked me that he got a new car, was buying and selling parts and never came good on the refund.

The motor is up and running thanks to all the other members of V8Buick :TU:

I had a previous dealing with him, although I had to nag him to get the part shipped he came through and the part was as expected.

Guy 2: Does $HIT about it. And neither does this board. It has been several days since Dave said the mods were on top of this. Arggggggg! :rant:

 

What exactly are you expecting from "the board"? There's activity behind the scenes, that doesn't need to be made public, but we're also not the police. I can't go to txg's home and demand money. uzzled:

Although, as we have seen in previously-referenced threads back to 2006, his "reputation" has been marred by his practices before, and apparently had no significant effect on his ability to operate here. He needs to be barred from the site, pure and simple. And that, obviously, can only happen courtesy of the administration of this site.

 

I agree a thousand percent. Not that I want to see anybody get stiffed, but this is the internet, and used parts. I'm sorry ya got burned, but hey its the nature of the beast.

 

Joe, with all due respect, this has nothing to do with the part being used, nor with the transaction taking place over the internet. If the part had been new, and purchased mail-order for example, or even in person, it would be exactly analogous. Deal was made, paid for, goods not as represented and returned at the buyer's freight expense, and no refund from seller despite much pressure from the buyer and from the colleagues on this board. Seller basically thumbs nose at community, claims he's broke, then brags in a simultaneous thread about the new project he's investing money in, the money that he claims he doesn't have. Moreover, this seller's behavior has occurred on this board before (see threads). He is abusing his privilege to be a part of this community (market), and therefore those privileges need to be taken away. By the administration of this board.
