    True statement right there!
Companies want young and gullible “50 grand a year for a Design Engineer sure I’ll take it!” Says the young and gullible.
    It’s pretty sad actually :(
When I was let go at my last job for “younger faster and cheaper labor” I went looking again, and I had a shop owner/manager TELL ME TO MY FACE “I was hoping for someone YOUNGER”
    WTF!!

I have a good one for you.
One day this old guy showed up at the shop with my branch chief. Hey JR, we have a new man here, put him to work.
    Ok chief.
This guy was 65 years old and I knew he was a top class machinist.

All the younger guys in the shop were grumbling about this old fart.
I got them all in a room and told them, if you want to be smart, watch this old man, he will show you machining expertise you have never seen before.
This is a great opportunity to learn from his vast experience.

AL and I became good friends and my lead man. He is from Ohio and he started machining when he was only 15.
We had him full time in the shop for 10 years. When he reached 75, his health went down and he was no longer able to work in the shop.
AL was one of the best machinist I have ever worked with.
    You cannot beat experience.
You will never get that from younger less experienced craftsmen. Vet

Looking at your pic with the pushrod rubbing it looks like you need a LEFTo_O

Well, there is a shadow there. Guess you will find out when you put the rocker on.

The push rod seats don't look centered to me.

The rocker arm pushrod seat is not centered as you noticed.
Unfortunately, I ordered and received the RH version, that was wrong. I order yesterday the correct version, LH rocker arm.
Should be in my hands in a few days. :D
This is what you get when your a Buick novis. Every day I learn something more about Buicks.:)

As a follow-up to buying Buick rocker arms. JW is "right on".
    I ordered from Rock Auto.com.
When I ordered the LH rocker, it came in as a Stright version, but had LH stamped on it.
I ordered another LH rocker from them and this time I got a RH version with no stamp marks on it.

I gave up on Rock Auto and ordered a LH rock from JEGS. Hopefully this with be the correct rocker arm.
Amazing how a simple rocker arm order can get so screwed up. The Mulling rock arm box had the correct part number on it too. Vet

Your head hurts, I have a migraine.
What I don't understand, when you look at a rocket arm with R stamped on it, why is the pushrod demple on the left side?
Same for a LH rocker, demple on the right side.

I'am missing something here.muat be same for the guy how is packing up the rocker arms. Vet

The offset R/L is when you view the rocker arm from the pushrod side of the rocker, as if you were standing in the valley of the engine.
Same as R/L reference for the car, it’s when viewed from the back of the car, RIGHT side is passenger side, LEFT side is drivers side.
“Back in the day” seems people cared and took pride in their work, nowadays a lot of people don’t seem to care and just do whatever.

In my snowmobile parts manager days we would ask customers, “driver or passenger side?” Same now with motorcycles… some would laugh and others wouldn’t have a clue…!

I get it NOW. I've been looking at the rocker arms from the fender side (passenger side).

I'am slow, but I eventually get there.
I took another look at the pics of my valve train. It looks like all the rocker arms are the straight version. Don't understand that.
But then I had no idea the Buick rocker arms come in left and right versions. My SB Chevy 327 used only straight rocker arms.

I have a lot to learn about Buick engines. Vet
