    Awesome, awesome, awesome..........

    The ultimate, you're right...

Is that the car that was used for the AMT and Monogram model kit?

I saw a 67 W30 aircleaner on ebay last night with a Buy it Now of $1000. Thought about buying it and modifying the bottom side for tripower, then remembered how much I like warmth, clean clothes, and food.

    Fabulous car. Way to go.

Jim it really does have a heater. Made my wife alot happier. She hates it when I buy cars with no radio and no heater. She can take her portable CD player with her but I draw the line at the coleman heater.

Congratulations John!!!!!!!! Under appreciated, and not very well documented, but definitely deserve a place in in Supercar history. As with all cars built for single purpose use the story of how they came to be is a good read, and the 66 is no exception. Enjoy John.

    Re: CALVERT CITY!!

    Rusty:

Should have seen Calvert City when we first moved there in 1953!. THis was when they started building the first chemical plants and I think the population was about 150 (half of them named Draffens, other half named Barrett).

Haven't been by there much lately, but my older brother JOhn was there for the North Marchall reunion last summer and keeps in close touch with a lot fo his friends there. He played on the North Marshall basketball team the year before they won the State finals (33-1 season, I think) and they still talk about that team. 2 highschool All Americans on the same team!

I worked in the Calvert Drive In from when I was 12 until we moved to Pa. a fwe years later. Returned there in 1961 and 1964 and worked for the Harringtons then, too. I understand my friend Steve has reopened the Drive in and it still is a popular place in the summers. His Dad Paul was buying up all the old cars in the Western Ky and western Tennessee are for his museum back then. Amazing collection.

Hope to get down there soon and will look you up when I do. Also want to look up Larry Fleming in Bowling Green. We know him from NMCA Street ET racing. Neat guy and I understand has a fabulous Mopar collection. Great area of the country.
