I didn't quite get this. Are you saying you didn't cut the flange off completely and just weld the tubes to the buick flange, correct?

If so, would then cut the flange around the tube area so that you are then welding flange to flange. For sake of simplicity let's say that area was 1/4" around the tube, so that you could then weld the thick flange of the old to the thick flange of the new?

I hope that makes sense :)

Yes, what I am doing is removing most of the old flange but leaving enough to weld the Buick flange onto the old one... The reason for this is that it is less work than removing the flange completely and adding the new flange... This is not something that will look pretty but it will be functional.

My plan was to sell the headers for about $250 and if a person wanted them coated they could have that done... I am doing this to get a Buick 350 into a 92 fullsized Blazer for a 4x4 beater... I wanted headers but the longtubes would not fit. This project is on the backburner though so not much progress lately...

As far as I can see this is another 350 mystery super motor. If it weren't for some dyno sheets it could have been somebody's imagination. I just couldn't spend that much time and money on hardware and then just let it sit.

Last I heard he got screwed around by the shop that had his car and he was fighting to get it fixed up properly. I do not think he has any plans to go to the drag strip though so we will likely never see how fast it could have run.

I was going to buy it way back when but the stock rods turned me off...
