Yup, every week I ask how things are going and when we're gonna make new heads or an intake for the 350 so I can slap it on my car to test it

Dont worry 350 dudes, trust me I have you covered, like some others have said you have to see it from our side and its really hard to do so or imagine unless you actually work here or have seen how everything goes on around the shop lol. Cut us some slack it will come eventually we just having to finish the block and Rover heads first. Then guess what?! The development board is open for the next project and you can guess whats comin next :TU: cause like its been said making a 350 head wouldnt be much more than adding another cylinder to the V6 head and redesigning it (kinda like what we have done with the Rover head. And a new intake wouldnt be much harder than shrinking the SP1 intake and massaging it to fit a 350.

As for the weight I have no idea I dont think anyone has actually weighed a block yet because they arent done being machined. If you guys have any questions about the block that you would like answered as it in bullet form
    • like this
and I'll get em answered as soon as possible.

Chill Nothing! What Mike said sounded like an insult.

so the best way to respond to an accusation of "whining" is ... by whining about the accusation?

i must admit, your tactics are so advanced that they are beyond my feeble comprehension. :idea2:

see Cason? we've got our very own 350 whiner inside the Tomaszewskifamily!

he says we're whiners because he are one too. :moonu:

Well I dont necessarily whine I just probe and ask. There is a difference but I really dont mind guys, sorry if it sounded like an insult thats not how it was meant, you just gotta give us a break and see it from our side instead of trying to tell us how things are.

*kinda off topic from this thread lol*

I am trying to imagine someone saying that to my face, and it would always sound like an insult IMO. Oh well. It doesn't matter anymore. It's just slightly disturbing that someone at TA would say that to their potential customer base. If you were in a local business and one of the upper level employees was talking about their whining customers, I don't know about you guys, but I would walking out the door.

Mike Jr. - I have read your posts and I completely understand what you meant, and I am thankful for what you are doing. :beer

I am just trying to cover myself from all these other people attacking me.

well, you can handle the situation by going "pssst, c'mere, i wanna give you some PR suggestions" in a PM or you can take offense in public. constructive vs destructive criticism. keep in mind that things that can be said calmly between two people in private might turn into a total $4!tstorm if the exact same words are said between the exact same people ... in a crowd.

it wouldn't hurt if MikeJr were to edit the "whining" phrasing out or to add some smileys to his post. which, psssst, you can still do that Mikey. :Brow:

as to what's already been done and said, since it's all been done and said in public already, you'd probably be best off just to say "I took it a little too personally but now that I see that you're on our side and it wasn't meant all that seriously it's all good. Mea culpa."

i'm not trying to ride you here i'm just suggesting a little thicker skin for your online interactions.

    because i'm classy.

I'm more interested in the original topic. TA block and support parts. I would love to see some pictures of block with some machined bores, cam journals ect... This is exciting because this block is real!

I heard that a crank deal might be part of this. True? 4.4" or 4.5"?

    i should hope.

max designed stroke on the raised deck block is going to be 5.750". so, i expect 5.750" cranks and another run at whatever the max stroke on the stock deck block is going to be.

MikeJr, you got a number for that low deck stroke yet?

Is there a picture of the front of the block somewhere? I would like to know if there are bosses to mount a front motor plate. Thanks

Yes, plenty of bosses for motor plate mounts, plenty of taps for different external oiling systems.

    Your covered.

You wana know whats Really funny about that? We just got pictures of a machined casting :Brow: and I had a whole post typed up just waiting for the pictures to finish uploading when I got pulled away to like 5 other things. So by the time I got back to it (30 minutes ago just before we left the shop) I hit Submit Reply and it wanted me to relog back in when I heard the beeping from the alarm that Dad had just set. So I just quickly shut the compuiter down and left. So now that I am home I present you, the first pictures of a machined block!

    Ain't it beautiful? :pp

That high and center bell housing bolt hole looks suspiciously like what you see for the newer T56/4Lx0E transmissions... :bglasses:
