towareg... toreg... however you say it!

That thing sounds really impressive! I had no idea they were actually strong enough to tow real weight! I'll have to suggest that one to her too, even if she's not going to be towing with it. Have you had any problems with it? I'm a little suspicious of VW these days. My sister's Jetta was barely out of warranty when the tranny decided to stop shifting. I was surprised, because I've always thought of VW's as being a super-reliable vehicle.

I looked at it this way...

it has a Porsche 6 speed tranny, and a proven Audi 4.2 V8, how bad could it be? a new broom sweeps good though, so we'll see what it looks like after 30,000 miles and a couple years abuse.

Subaru Legacy. Best AWD you can get, easy on milage. I never see one with less than 300k on the clock.

I'm getting the Cayenne for my wife. Probably in the next few days once I am done beating on the various dealers:grin: Its fast, unique but overpriced. Certainly more fun to drive than the VW version but again the premium for the Porsche:eek2: Besides, that will bring me up to two V8 Porsches, life is good:beer

I have 2 friends that bought Cayenne's, one turbo and one not...

both wished they had bought V8 Touareg's like mine, after driving mine, and discovering what 18 thousand dollars less buys:Dou:

Well......If you can't tell the difference between the Cayenne and Toureg, you ARE much better off not spending the extra dough.

To imply that there is no discernable difference is incorrect. There are a whole bunch of differences. Chief among them is the steering and handling. Access to Porsche club driving events is a bonus as well.

Congrats on the T-egg, neat trucks.
