Mike, Thought I would add my $.02 worth. Red stripes on maroon would look killer. I guess it depends on what tires you are puttin on. White stipe for white letter, red stripe for red lines! Whatever you do, you have to put the stripes on. Vertical stripes are supposed to be slimming? :spank: You have got to do that to make the fat A** on that car look right!
Was this car from PA? If it is the one I'm thinking of it was in Mopar Collectors Guide a year or so ago. Article claimed it is a numbers matching car and I know for a fact that it isn't as the engine curently resides in a different car. He did a beautiful job of bringing it back from the wreck that it was (rebody?) o No: Mike, Go with the red stripes :TU:
Theres no way I would put a stripe on it. Is the 1 Hemi Converible the brown one that someone rescued out of a bone yard?....
Here's another option. I got a WHITE interior with the car. They also had a code for a red interior(carpet dash headliner ect.) and WHITE seats and door panels. Kinda like my Road Runner if you guys remember that. A two tone Red/White interior with a white stripe would be kinda cool. Plus I already have the seat covers and door panels new in the box!
The brown one is a '70 and it did come out of a bone yard. But it is not counted for U.S. production as it was an "export" car that was sent to Canada. Somewhere out there is a red '70 Hemi Coronet R/T convertible that hasn't been found as of yet.
dash and door tops should be body color, with white interior stripe should be a darker red, not bright red Mag 500's with G70 red lines white interior with a white stripe is too much... IMO or use my combo in the first three sentences with no stripe :Smarty:
The Internet is a VERY small place anymore !! :eek2: Mike, Look what I just found a picture of ?? I just lifted this off of the 1970 Charger Registry website that I belong to. This is THE '68 Hemi R/T Convertible 4-speed car !!! :jd: This picture is circa 1972.
Here ya go Mikee Poo!!! :TU: I hadn't even started the car in about 6 months, I had to dig it out of the corner of my shop. Wayne
