Im so far away, and cant remove it where my car is parked so I need to swap it out so i can move the car.
I surely can send my box back to Hector when i got the new one in the car , but not before :)

That sure looks like an S-10 truck box. Believe that they have the same dimensions, though, as earlier manual jobs. top cover is different shape.

Hi Hector, I counted the number from lock to lock, and its 7 steeringwheel turns in total.
I do not need a quickratio box (I just thought those would steer lighter then the stock manual steeringbox).
So a stock manual steeringbox for my 72 Skylark with 7 turns or less is oke.

Do you need any more info to determine what i have?
    If so let me know.

they might make a 5 or 6 turn but un sure if its considered a quick ratiothey do not make any 3 turn for sure

5-6 is ok as long as they will not get any heavier with steering.
What can you recommend for me Hector? tnx for the help.

The box that have on it now is indeed not the OEM one, like Newmexguy said its a S10 box it has 7 1/4 turns, I found another picture and compared these and all is the same even the number stamped on it.

here a link to that box with all the info:

Hi Hector, do you mean the Lares box that is the oem box for the 72 skylark, or the S10 box?

And what do i need to change more cause when i do an overlay of the specs of these 2 boxes then nothing is the same. I checked the 2 specs at rockauto every diameter etc is different between these 2.
    Tnx for the help.

Yes that the S10 box the original 72 Buick manual steeringbox new is even cheaper and is only a 6 turn box and the S10 is 6.9-7 1/2 turns
But like I said the specs are different from the OEM box, what do you I need to make the change to the better steering OEM box?
Or is the S10 better then the OEM box, does anyone know?

No Problem, I would like to have a PS over a manual box anyday, but that isn't very easy to convert to with my engine setup.
