Can't seem to find the web site I used, If you post your vin and trim tag on this board, Look for the paper trail thread, Somebody here is sure to have the answers for you:TU: The pics of the cargo area will take a few days
Hello specialwagon65, If you happen to see this, I also have a same year special wagon, mine has a few differences in the trim and placement of the special badges. I am just wonder if you know about the trim levels available back then. Thanks, Bill
Wicked awesome wagon! Looks like you have a Special Deluxe series with chrome strips and so forth. Very Nice!:beers2: Mine is Special (standard) series. see this website  http://buicks.net/years/65.shtml Ted
Billat , your wagon has the same interior & exterior color as my car has. Same seats, But my car had 1 option(power steering)and I removed it. My car is a Special Deluxe but it is closer in options to SPECIALWAGON65's car than it is yours.
Jeff, That is the same as my interior, can't believe that there are two survivors so alike. Mine has manual steering and brakes, and the 310 v8 with a three speed trans. Bill
My wagon has a V6 with the 2 speed trans. But not for long, it'll be getting the Stage 2 out of my '72 Skylark.
Sportwagon66: I may need to call on you for info. I'm in the middle of buying a 66 Sportwagon. It has solid floors and is in running condition but has rust at the rear wheel wells and lower quarter in the rear. It's missing the bottom of the back seat but the guy is supposed to be finding it. If I go forward with this deal I'm sure I will need some info and possible parts. I noticed that the tailgate has some run in the lower part and may have been hit. Any chance in finding a good one? Thanks for any help. Jim Netherland
I wonder if the tailgate from a 65 would work? I've got one here in Cincy- says Sportwagon and has 65 moulding on it...no window or regulator...
I some what doubt it but I will check into it and let you know. I have not closed the deal on it yet, but think it is something I would like fooling with maybe. Thanks, I'll lwt you know. I will be coming through there in a few weeks going to Columbus. JIm N.
I agree nice car I have posted here before to all of you who may need parts I have a 1965 vista wagon (special) I am going to be removing from my yard soon I have taken all I need off and it is time to get rid of it. Anyway it is out of the four corner region of arizona where temps can reach the low 100's and inside the interior is really really poor. However all of the glass is great and the body parts are fantastic. Even the insides of the front fenders are still clean. anyway 801 419-9838 Steve call if you need something I can part with Door handles inside and out Dash parts clean crome strips really clean Glass doors and rear as well as windshield All the doors are great no dents Hood is great
