Thought I would share my install. An issue I had when installing the intake with a 4150 base Holley carb was the heater line was directly under the dual feed fuel line. There was no way to install it this way so the heater line was moved to the back of the intake. Attached is a picture of the installed intake.

I use a regulator with 2 outlets one to the front and one to the rear.

Use the rear water port, nm didn't see the last line somehow. Thumbs up for going with the man size carb

Picture uploaded, I had to resize picture to allowable size.

Andy, The previous intake was a TA Stage1 with the center divider milled and intake runners were port matched. Motor made 449hp with the dual plane intake.

Dang that is a serious SBB. If you get aluminum heads on that beast it will be unreal. I would guess it's a low 12 high 11 second car already? I may have to pick your brain on that build. I have my original 71 350 in my garage that I will eventually build as well. Looking forward to see the results.

Simple enough it is all about the heads!

I do have a good machine shop local, maybe in a few years Gotta get the 462 going in the Lark though. I started down the big block path three years ago. Only if I would of known what I know now I may of went with my 350 first. But back then the parts just didn't seem to be there for what I wanted to do. And to late to back out of the 462 plan, to much money and time in.

You are on a good path with the 462. Either way your flying the Buick flag. You can always build the 350 bullet just in case. or maybe you find another project:TU:

I have a lot of 350 parts but getting good rods and pistons for 0 deck height is the key! Now TA made the open intake so I'm 350 ready again.

I have the biggest cam that Crower has for the 350 but I want the most compression before I try it. You know Chris Stevenson is running mid 11s with his stocker 74 Apollo 350. So I want 10.90 on my first pass!

Hell I don't know!! But people tell me my 462 has to have 500+ to be ripping 10.80's with added weight! Fred said I have around 450!

1967 GS400's came right from the factory with the heater hose connected to the rear connection on the intake so it should be ok for you and I continued to do it on multiple cars for years. It makes for one less hose running to the front of the engine.

You have a Dominator sized base but what is the actual size carb you are running?

From the TA site those intakes are 4150 or quad.

Ok, that makes sense. When I saw the 1050 I thought he mounted up a Dominator.

Theys plenty of room to to machine for a 4500, but Mike had mentioned offering a 4500 flange
