New Tow vehicle This is the first Dodge and the first diesel I've ever owned. Really love the power/torque that the engine put out (325hp/600lb ft tq) . I yanks my GS around very well.
Here's mine! 2001 Chevy K3500, 8.1L, 5 speed Allison. Pass most anything ceptin' a gas station!! :TU:
Here's Dad's! 88 Chev C3500, 7.4L, TH400, USGear overdrive, passes fewer gas stations than my 8.1L. 128K and drives like a dream!!
Phil, that Sub is still purty. Here's a pic of mine. Now, THIS is ugly!!! 280K and earned every dent in it. Still fires up everytime I need it to. It's an 87. Paid $7500 for it in 92. It owes me nothing!!!
Got hit by a 1T dually with a car trailer. Most of the damage was done then, but it has 'widened' a few 'Jeep only' trails after the first dent. That was the only dent that hurt!! Everybody told me that there was no way a Sub would be able to follow the Jeeps. HAD to prove them wrong, and, boy did I!! It has a Corporate 14 bolt rear axle (10.5" ring gear) with 4.56 gears, Detroit Locker in the rear and a Dana 60 up front with a factory posi thata is real tight. It truly is a four wheel drive. In fact, I have had all 4 spinning on pavement a couple of times, just cuz I could!! o No: :Brow:
Keith, It was originally a 1/2T with the 10 bolt POS's. Blew the rear to smithereens, so added 14 bolt rear with locker and 4.56's and a Dana 44 front, open. Then the next spring, blew the crap outta the 44 up front and got a deal on the 60 and a spare 14 bolt with Detroit. Know anybody that needs a 4.56 geared, Detroit locked GM Corporate 14 bolt rear axle? I can make them one hell of a deal!!! It's just sitting in the shed collecting stubbed toes!!!
Here's my jewel. It's a '97 F350 Powerstroke. This is my 4th black one. I'm ready for a change. The next one will be ordered white, crew cab, long bed, 4x4 and 3.73 posi.
New one Here is our new one, hasnt even been hooked up to the trailer yet...still waiting for spring so i can see how good it tows.
