    TuBBed,
what were the final power numbers this engine made? I'm thinking of using some of the ideas for a 2 barrel Dirt track car.

    Nah....I wouldn't say that.

The engine is for sale until I can find a candidate to implant it into. I'm working on a deal as we speak. so I can utilize the engine instead of watching it sit. With the economy the way it is and with work not keeping me busy as much as I like is the reason for not getting a replacement for the car it was originally supposed to be used in. The last time this engine was used was in Mark Burton's X-Factor intake dyno run, which produced identical numbers, but the X-Factor had a consistant. more smooth powerband allowing 7,000 rpm runs. Since then after the dyno runs, I spent $600 on new total seal file-fit rings and moly coated bearings as it was apart for checking out the insides, which everything looked good, but I am picky about my motor. It takes a lot of money, not just in the engine, but the car itself to be able to run the horsepower without the breakage, especially if it's going to be used hard. I realise this and that's why it has taken so long.

No replies on this engine in over a year. This started in 2004. Has good numbers on it but never gets to the track, hear that it is going to be sold. The car is already gone and nobody knows shat happened to it. Doesn't all of this just make you want to go out and build up a 350 Buick? I bet not huh. Here is some help. I have had mine built since 1994 and still runs strong. My heads are not ported as much (I wish they were). I now run Nitrous on it and it just kicks as*. I need to do a little suspension work on it and I will be back out. I can still go out and the car still runs great. Drive all day in all kinds of traffic. There is that help for you 350 guys. What is the end result of this motor. Is She Alive or DEAD.

Isn't it a shame that it take like some one like Burton Machine Just a machine shop guy that likes 350 Buicks go out on a limb to make 350 parts when some of these guys have been making Buick parts for over 15 years, just can't take the next step in building good 350 parts? By the time they do the interest in 350 Buicks will be gone and then they will all say "See there are no interest in 350 Buicks" That's because you waited till Eternity to build any. I wonder how many 350 Buick engines are really in the junkyards now. Since now they are probably junking them out for the money.

As time goes by peoples taste change and that means that may they might decide to go with something like a Mustang or get some other type of car to do there racing with. With Mustangs being a dime a dozen the younger crowd will look at these before they look at and older car let alone a Buick or one that has a 350 in it.

I am a Buick purist at heart but as I get older I really want to get a hot 350 Buick going for my next phase of hot rodding. People always look at these 350s and can't believe how fast it is especially with the nitrous on it.

I give Kudos to the guys that are trying to build the parts and to those trying to build them and to the ones going out and trying to get the extra parts built to make these things run.

I would like to buy some of these parts that are being built right now but I just got laid off again and this has just stopped all of my racing again. Now I am going to have to wait till I get everything caught up again to get back out on the streets. Sorry guys I just can't get any of those great parts right now.

I like to be different and from the moment I seen Sonney Seals 350 over 15 years ago that sounded meaner than sh*% and ran like crazy I knew that was the way I wanted to go. There's my rant for the day.

I guess my rant worked you got your note on here before I wrote all my crap. Good job I am glad to hear that it is still going. Were you reading my mind? Sorry about so much ranting But same as you work has not been good to me lately. Parts for 350's do take a lot of money. Something that I am short on these days Sorry if I got on it too much.
