The gears will either be 3.42 or 3.31. I'm hoping to get a 12 bolt posi with the 3.31's, but if not I'll use th 3-series carrier for my 8.5". The belts and hoses are suposed to be in today and from there it's just hooking up the 12 volts. :TU:

I'll get some more pics tomorrow. I'm still finishing up on it and currently waiting on some parts to get it going. I had to get another fuel cell as the Russell Endura series fittings don't like aluminum. Hopefully, it'll be here next week. Putting everything back together seems so simple, but somehow it takes forever. I guess I'm too picky with the way everything goes together. :TU:

Rob, I know these things take time. I hope I get the Corvette together wile I can still use my leg to push in the clutch instead of a walking cane  AL.

Well, here are a few pics of my progress. I had an aluminum radiator, BUT I screwed up and tried to use a brass fitting as a drain plug. Stupid me didn't read all the directions and now it's on its way back to get fixed. I should have it back in a couple weeks, but I might use the original temporarily if I'm able to get it running next week. With being out on the road 5-6 days out of the week my progress is slow. All there is now is the clutch setup, getting a new driveshaft, bolting the crossmember up, installing the rest of the oil cooler, installing the radiator, finishing up the electrical, and putting new fluids in. I never thought it would take this long to get this car together, but I know in the end it'll be worth it.

Here's a couple shots of the fuel cell I installed. Polishing it takes a good couple hours itself.

Rob, looks like you need to move the ignition wires up a bit so they don't become part of the headers. Its looking great Rob!!! :TU: AL.

I just went out and got some more pics that I'll post up. The wires will be moved once I put the inner fenders back on. Actually they aren't that close to the header, it just looks like they are.

Rob - Did you ever find a 3.31 12 bolt rear?

I may be posting mine for sale.....it came out of a 1970 El Camino SS. It has the red poly. bushings from PST. They're also in the rear control arms. The rear has one of those Mr. Gasket alum. finned rear covers, that holds an extra qt. or so of fluid. Plus, I'm right up I-81 in Binghamton, NY.
