No problem AL.... If my engine went out tomorrow, I'd definatley be doing it. Didn't look that difficult at all from his instructions (helps that they're the same block...lol).

As long as you're not trying to sell it after you fix it. If you're looking for a driver then I'd say go for it. It won't sell for nuthing though, just check Ebay and you'll see.

I got my 96GT with 110K running great for 2K.... Take that into account with how much you'll invest in an engine/time to get it running...

is it a 2 or 4dr.... se, le, gt.

I might bother with a GT, but wouldn't with anything less as these cars are bought real cheap.

    I wouldn't touch it... I just checked http://www.Cars.com and they had alot of Grand am's under 2K.... I saw a 97 with 75000K for 1900ish.

Maybe if it were a $1-200 car, I'd say go for it, but you'll have more into it than you'll ever get out. Not to mention that it could have trans problems you don't even know about cause you can't drive it.

    Tough choice..

Jeff, not a tuff choice at all. You just made a point I kind was thinking anyway. After thinking of all the labor involved and exspense you are right about the money and time involved. If I was going to put a car together it needs to be special to me like my $150.00 (now restored) 84 Century.
