This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. simple solution to sellers that dont have time to set prices and take pics.

dont put parts up for sale

as a seller, show some respect for the potential buyer, and post a pic and price.

i am for car partouts as a separate section,it's going to be nothing but a huge question and answer session, anyway.

Hi, I think such a forum would be a good idea. Another thing that would make it great would be if sellers place their locations in the listing tagline. There are some larger parts that would be a good deal if they were picked up and not shipped. Having the location in the tagline will let browsers not have to hunt each listing for a location or use the search function to forage through the ads. Wayne

as a person who buys the Buicks that are melting into the earth, I think It would be Great!!!!!!.....I dont buy these cars to get rich, I dont believe in scamming someone on a part that is truly needed. there have been quite a few people on the board that I have sent small insignificant, but nessasary parts to for no cost at all, or just the shipping charges. I use the $$ from the sale of parts to fund the C.P.R. efforts for my herd of Buicks.

It would be benificial to everyone, you never know when you will need one last little clip to finish your project

There is no way to list all the parts that may be available when you put up a parting out car...And pictures would tend to take up a lot of space...I'm glad to email pix to potential buyers, and always try to send them several different angles. I agree on maybe a feedback system, 1-10 and left only after any problems have been worked out if possible. I always am glad to refund your money if you aren't satisfied, you just pay the return shipping. And even though I hate to chop one up, most of the time they're well beyond restoration, as I buy them for parts for my personnal car and then sell the rest to recoupe what I had in the junker to begin with. Anyway, it's a toss up, doesn't matter much to me. That's my opinion, and we all know what they equate to...

I have a car being offered to part out on this board right now I have been contacted by a couple individuals from this site both wanting to buy complete car. We agreed at a price both parties have not followed through with payment.

There is no way to regulate this in my opinion especially in this economy also the really rare cars and their parts always command a premium price and human nature being what it is makes people do funny things so in my humble opinion yes you can set some ground rules but to think that everyone will follow the rules that day will never happen and you can,t babysit sellers or buyers people are going to do whats in their best interest not all the time but most of the time just the way I see it.

I'm all for a part car section. If someone listed all the parts on a part out car and added several pix as well as prices for all he had, it'd cover a couple pages. And as for pix, I still haven't figured out how to get them in the parts for sale section, but can send them in email. Guess everyone isn't honest as some of us are and stoop to taking a higher price after promising it to someone else. I've gotten some great parts here, and have sold some nice ones as well just for the pleasure of keeping more buicks on the road, and it helps finance my resto projects. So it's a crap shoot, let everyone know that there will be nothing the board can do about it, caveat emptor, or whatever the latin is for buyer beware...

Sounds like a good idea to me. Anybody who has a '93 Roadmaster Sedan to part out, let me know, I need a few parts for mine :D

I've scapped cars with parts that someone on the board might have needed, but I would not post minor parts because of the requirement to list each. Anyone know how many parts our cars have? Short answer, more than I care to deal with.

I'd prefer to see a board section for partouts, but if it is not to be, "just say no", and be done with this issue.

I'm looking for people parting out cars since I need parts that are too obscure for most to bother listing seperately. At the same time though when I do contact people who are parting out cars I get lost in the shuffle since my parts list are all nickle and dime things that don't get thought of at the time of the dismantling.

I think it would be great.
I have a car that came along with the Wildcat I bought.
It is fairly complete but not a particularly desireable model.
I'm not sure I can get the title for it so parting it out may be my best bet. I would sure want to see the parts go to good use instead of scrap.
