James, I agree with you on the carb. Previous owner looked for build sheet under carpet with no luck. I'll take a look at the cowl area on the driver side at some point. I have found several there.
Yes, it is a disease but a fun one. I was actually trying to reduce the inventory and create some spare room in my garages but a couple of cars came along that really appealed to me.
Question: With this car getting standard whitewall tires, what kind of hubcaps would it have on it from the factory?
Ken, It's going to take awhile to get it done. I'd like to make it a running driving car this year though. I have a couple of other necessary expenses I am going to incur this year that are a priority such as a new roof for the house and get my driveway redone. Plus I need to start parts hunting again. Several years ago I sold some parts that I really need now for this GS. Might have to do some trading for needed parts.
I sold almost everything I'd collected for over 25 years a few years back. It's fun buying it back at almost double the cost. Said no one ever....
Larry,Larry..........Larry.The first step is to admit the problem. From looking at your pictures I'm guessing a limited use Ohio car it's whole life? Very nice find. Tom
Mike, Don't know I managed it but I now have 3 72 Stage 1's. Flame Orange, Sunburst Yellow, and Silver Mist. Larry
