WOW! Keith, that is a nice looking place, better than alot of houses! What I want is a garage with house attached, actually, that's what I used to think, now I think 2-40x60s, one to work in and one to store the stuff and party in with a little house!
COOL! Scott, that is very cool. Now I am getting all kinds of ideas for my next garage, will have to move first! Can't add on here! RV
Best so far Just built this house last year and finally have a garage that will hold 3 cars after I install a lift. Also have a regular 2 car for the daily driver and the wifes car. First time posting here. I met alot of you guys when my brother in-law and myself came to factory stock drags ths year in Norwalk. Ithink we ate supper the first night with Dave and his brother at the ponderosa steak house. Wish Old man Dave could have made it Bristol last month. We did talk to Dan for a few minutes in Bristol. What a great show You guys made us feel like one of the gang right off the bat. I did pick up a Grand National to be a cell mate with my Gto and having alot of fun with that. Thanks again for the fun and we will see you all next year at Dans Factory stock Drags. Don Harber
The main section is 30x50,the section with the two garage doors is 30x30. The 30x30 section has attick trusses,so I have an up stairs[can you say storage for car parts]:Brow: I just spent my siding money on an enclosed trailer, the trailer was too good of a deal to pass up. Thanks for the compliments on it,I wanted a garage that didnt look like a garage. The people in my development were wondering how I got a permit to build another house on my lot The little bump out section will have stone to match the front of our home,I thankfully found the match to our siding color
Hi Don, Welcome to the board........I remember that dinner........ Yeah, a little much going on to make Bristol. Hopefully have one of the other cars ready for next season, or at least the good motor back in the ramrod. Supposed to dyno this week, pray for me, brother.............. Brian's got the right idea. Adding a family room onto his house that's set up for a big door and a hoist inside.
Keith borrowed Pats's(69 Orange RAiv bird) drywall lift to hang some rock in his shop. Pat sent his crew over to pick up the lift. Pat gets a call an hour later goes something like this JOE-"Hey Pat we found Keiths house, But where is this "GARAGE" we're looking for with the drywall lift?"ou:
Roberta, I like the way you're thinking. Big storage building, big garage, and an upscale studio apartment would do it. Let me throw in a walking distance to a 24 hour gas station/convenience store. Still looking.
Re: COOL! No room on your current property? It was pretty dark when I passed by your place in July, but wasn't there a bunch of open space around?:Brow: And all my friends are wondering why I don't spend the money to get out of the house now. "Just get an apartment". Well, I might if I didn't have cars and parts to store. I need a house with a LARGE garage
OK, Here's the garage I just moved into (with the main house attached, unlike many of you). Note how there are no support poles sticking down the middle. Also on the side of the wall to the right you can see the end of the shelving unit that runs all the way to the front of the garage. Below is a pic of my "other" garage. It's hard to see, because it isn't there... yet. From the front of the house to the back of what's in the photo is about 115 feet long. The wider part at the back, where the garage will go is about 40 feet long. Seeing how the walkway meets up with it, I'm assuming someone planned this garage a long time ago. I just hope to finish it some day.
