Fun thread. I also am very weird. However being fairly anticonventional that suits me just fine. Lets see.. Ive had.. " D.C. " That was an 84 camaro we called diesel camaro because it sounded, smelled & ran like a diesel for some reason. " Pristine " She was a 65 tempest convertible, red on red with a 326. Earned the name because she tried to kill my x girlfriend twice & generally hated everyone except me. R.I.P. I miss that car. " B!$@h " Thats a 66 skylark so named because she reminds me of a 20 something year old horse I had as a kid that earned the name by never wanting to leave the barn and/or running for the barn at top speed when the unsuspecting rider hopped down to do anything. Except in this case substitute " barn " for " garage ". Yeehaw!
I had never named my cars until I got my current '68. It's called Eternity, you guess why. :spank: me
Name Game before my current 72 GS all my cars carried the name "Bessie" My 72's name is LILWING after a Jimmie Hendrix song Dana
Years ago, my friends nicknamed my car "Bad" and that name has stuck ever since. They still ask me if I'm bringing "Bad" over. I think it's kind of funny to nickname a 4500 lb car this, but who am I to argue.
Hmm. I guess I haven't named my Buick yet... I usually just call it "The Buick". Have had names for other cars though... "Brown Sunshine" was the name of my '83 Ford Econoline. It was rust-color brown with rust everywhere. I got the name from that White Zombie song "Black Sunshine". "G*d Dam&*&# piece of s#i#@t I'll never buy another #&*($&*(# VW again" was the name of my '87 VW Scirocco 16V. Fast fun car but I can't believe how much of a turd it was. I was very close to smashing it with a sledgehammer on many occasions. "McPete" was the name of my '86 Chevy Nova, because there was a sticker on the back with that name... I think it was a dealership in Louisiana or something. Anyways, McPete always sounded like a pirate's name to me, so me and my friends would always joke around and say things like, "Aaaarrrr... Let's go for a ride in McPete. Walk the plank, McPete, you've got Scurrrvey! Aaarrr.." Anyways, I guess this post proves that I'm weird too.
My 69 Wildcat is always refered to as "Old Yellar" My 88 Dynasty is the "Slodge" or "Die nasty" My 85 Regal has no name yet. Any suggestions?
....... i never named any of my cars until i got the skylark. its brown, completely full of fiddle back spiders so its the brown recluse.
Re: ....... Lethal, aren't they? :eek2: I've never named any of my cars, but my wife calls my 68 "the other woman".
Re: Re: ....... yeah, ive been fortunate enough to avoid getting bit even tho they've scurried across my hand a time or two  have claimed one of my cats in the past week tho there population is slowly dwendling however since there "home" keeps getting attacked with bug killer
WE owned a 48 Roadmaster Sedanette( 2 dr fast back) that we drove to Flint in 78 for Buick's 75th annv. and the kids named her "BIG BERTHA BUICK" because it just rolled down the hwy at 70 mph like the road wasn't even under. For the 100 annv at Flint I took my 70 GSX 4 spd and my son took his 70 GS 455 (Cloned white GSX) race car. I never put a name on the GSX , just call it the "STAGE 2 X " My 68 Sportwagon is named and it is on the tailgate, "SPORTWAGON FROM HELL" Bill
Name your car I suppose over the years I've had names for a few of them and I call my present ride - The Silver Bullet - I have a neon Coors sign on the garage wall that lights up when you turn the lights on. How bad have you got it ? :beer
Burnished Saddle '70 GS is known as "THE TURD" Green '81 Regal drag car is simply "THE REGAL" Blue & White '74 Electra 225 is "THE BOAT"
"My Car" It's the first one I've had that I didn't just try to blame on my wife. "Uh...yeah...this is my wife's car."
My dad named mine. "Deathmobile" :Brow: He and a younger brother one time saw me make it thru a yellow light at WOT in first gear, with the nose of the car pointed about 30 degrees to the left of direction of travel. So did two county sheriff deputies.....ou:
My wife and kids named both of mine.... Bright Yellow '57 Chevy strip car. Her name is "Miss Daisy". Vinyl lettered across the back glass. Soon to be Black '71 GS. Her name is "The other woman". The GS is currently Bittersweet Mist and my daughter affectionately calls it "The Big Orange Pumpkin".
