My old GSX Drag Car...... anyone interested in it???

The gentleman that I sold my GSX drag car to several years ago has decided to quit racing, (for reasons I won't elaborate on). He offered my old car back to me for a very reasonable price. I'm "unfortunately" not in the position to buy it back from him as I'm eyeball deep in oil pans to build, trying to get my 64 together and running, and starting to plan my retirement in a little over 1 year from now. I'd LOVE to have it back....... but it's just not in the cards............

I thought I'd post it here to see if anyone on the board would have an interest in it. He de-tuned it to run low 10's and has put 68 passes on it since he bought it. It ran a best of 9.30 when I raced it and generally ran mid 9's. It won the Super Sixteen in 2011. Very well built and consistent drag car. 523 CI built by AM&P.

The current owner is a very particular guy and I'm positive he took great care of it over the past few years. I'd like nothing more than to see it go to a good Buick guy that will race it and enjoy it as I did and as he did. I'd absolutely LOVE to see it being raced at the Buick events, particularly in BG.

Anyone "truly" interested can get in touch with me and I'll get you his number and info. I don't want him bothered by tire kickers or curious onlookers, so if you ask for his info please be ready to be serious about it.

I can answer a lot of questions about it since I built it from a shell.

    Thanks!!!
    Steve

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

I remember the "wild wheelies" that beast did years ago. Like someone "Blue Pilled" the gas tank or something...

I remember looking at that before you sold it. I really like that car. Problem is I just got a different white Buick delivered this past Monday. DOH!

Do you know a number he is looking to get out of the car? That would be my starting point to discern making contact. Knowing the quality of the build it will probably be out of my reach but I am looking for a serious race-street Buick.

    thanks,
