Yikes, $1900 is a tad out of my price range.
I found one set of what I would call cores, beat to snot. No way.

One of those elusive ones that will come my way some day

    Thanks Guys

They're too shiny! LOL! I remember you saying that they looked a lot rougher when they were new.

Mark - If you are going to have them re-rimmed it's the aluminum center that "matters". Figured you might want something wider than the typical 6" rim width that all these things seem to come in.

I second that. You can find them cheaper. AND . . . It's the center caps that are elusive. Try to find some without dents on the top of the centers.

I spoke with McWheels (Kurt/Curt?) at a car show this past summer; said he might have a guy that was thinking of remaking the caps in a chromed plastic. I was gonna contact him earlier this week about it but never got around to it. Might wanna see if he ever got around to it. Those things would sell like hot cakes!

Thanks for that lead, I'll give him a call today

I spoke to Kurt this week in regards to Spyders, he doesnt have any centers and has not repro'd them yet. I will have him do new chrome rings when I find a set that is worthy.

ALWAYS do a PERSONAL CHECK of the bolt pattern on each wheel before purchasing. Don't rely on a glance or "looks fine to me" OR THE SELLER'S representation that they are the Abody bolt pattern.

Too bad Mopar/Ford bolt pattern is different from ours:idea2: I'd have some to sell you if that was the case.

Mark - Another "heads up" to be aware of....

You may run into Spyders for sale in both 14 and 15" sizes. CHECK the OD of the center on each and you'll likely find that the 14" have a smaller OD (unlike OEM wheels where they used the same center and just used a rims/hoops with a larger "step" to achieve the jump from 14" to 15").

I mention this as you likely want a set where they all match in terms of the OD of the centers. I can get you a measurement of the two different center OD's later after I do some "digging" around here.

No, actually that would be mine that i restored.
AKH's painted the raw centers grey to hide the flaws...I saw the one's that sold for 1,900.00 at a show
