That's why they make drag radials baby!! :TU: Speaking of being in a tough spot, I don't test my cars out on PRIMROSE DRIVE! :Brow:
Davey, thanks for clearing that up for us,You have inspired me to move forward and finish my all G-boby regal. :TU:
Fresh In From The Newsline Here's an update for my buds: Torque Tech 3" exhaust is hung. I used TA shorty headers, TA 3" downpipes, and Torque Tech's 3" g-body exhaust kit with the tail pipes exiting behind the wheels. I had to ding the passenger side header a tad bit and shave off a hair or two from my a-arm. On the drivers side I had to ding my TA downpipes for the shifter and make a very small ding to clear the crossmember, but I am a legit 3 inches from the front to the back. :TU: For the front suspension, I replaced the drag link, tie rod ends, converted from power to a manual steering box. Had her lined up today. She's as straight as an arrow! :3gears: I've got a handful of small details to clear up. I've got a leak from the passenger side on my ford 9". Having a little problem getting a good seal. My lower rad hose is rubbing on the swing arm (using a lower hose from a 71 455 GS, I'll need to find a better fit). I've got some crazy clicking noise from the dash cluster.....something related to the speedo I think. I need a hand to help me get my darn e-brake cable hooked up to my drums and last but not least I'll be visiting my friend Kevin (with the gnarly turbo Cosworth Vega) for the installation of my H-pipe on the exhaust. Other than that, this car is badd! A great use for spare parts and the Turbo 400 is giving me some neck straining shifts to boot. Eggs is right, nothing shifts like a Turbo 400!! :TU: BTW, I weighed the car on the truck scale today at work and she is weighing in at 3400 lbs. without driver. Not bad that I beefed up the car and I am only 50 pounds heavier than my stock V6. All the lightening has paid off. :3gears:
I picked up a lower rad hose for an 86 Regal with an OLDS 307. Looks to be the correct hose as a lower rad hose for an A-body will rub on the idler arm. I used an upper rad hose from a 70 455 GS and everything works out fine good for those who are interested. :TU:
Good to hear that you replaced a $8.00 item to enshure the longevity of a project that you worked so hard at.
Yeah, well its still rubbing, so I took another hose and wrapped it around the rad hose where it is rubbing against the frame. I'd probably would have been fine with the Olds 307 hose if I used the stock G-body 3-core rad, but I didn't, so I'm still looking for a solution...... o No:
