I've been messin' with hot wheels lately. This is my best one. Its a HW 66 Charger blended with a 70 El Camino.

I love model cars, but I can't seem to get myself to sit down and commit enought time to them, even if I have the time to spare. I think I just feel the need to be more "productive," working on something that runs/works, etc...
I really "want to" work on them, but then I never do...

Those are all great looking models. Can anyone tell me if they ever made a model kit or decast for a 77 Buick Regal 2dr. I would really like to have one. Thanks, Lloyd

I used to build models up until about 6 or 7 years ago. My last one was a diorama of a barn-fresh '69 440 6-BBL GTX (primered fenders, loads of rust, no hood) doing a burnout on a country road. I'll try and get a pic of that one.

I love dioramas, personally. I think they make you feel like it's an actual event that's taking place, or that you can be there. They require a lot more work, but I think it's worth it in the end.

Haven't done one in a while, but this thread is making me anxious to start another one

    They all look awesome, guys!

    Nicolas,

Do what I do then. Buy good musclecar kits cheap when they go on sale, and plan on building them during retirement! Actually, thats why I mess with die casts, they dont take as long.

    Lloyd,

Love that Regal! There is no die-cast or kit that I know of, but I don't think it'll be long till we get one. Corgi had a die cast 74 Century four door in 1/64th and 1/32nd scale. Johnny lightning casts a 75 Century pace car. They also have a 77 Cutlass casting that could be used to kitbash a Regal. Lindburgh had a 1/32 kit of a 75ish Century. While none of these or a match for yours, they are close. I think in time Johnny lightning will do a 76 Pace Car. Its only a matter of time.

Wow! I figured there would be several model fans around here. Some very cool work, too!

Jeff, I will check out Hobby Heaven, thanks for that link.

Dan, I have seen a couple pictures of the Special Wagon model floating around on the internet. Very cool. I would love to get my hands on one. I wanna see it after the resto.

My wife came across 3-packs of muscle/classic car models at Big Lots. Three differnt models, some acrylic Testors, and some of the no-fun glue. We tossed the paint and glue, but hell, three models for 12.99! I thought I did good at $6.99 each at a K&B outlet store.

I have a few models I built about 10 years ago....still collecting dust on my shelves!

The Camaro Police Interceptor was my poor attemp at making it look dirty. Mud on the wheels and splattered on the fenders and quarters....and the windshield is frosted where the wipers do not hit.

Oh, I still buy them!!! I have quite a closet full. Wish I had bought more; I'm always amazed at how quickly they go out of production, and then how valuable $$$$ they become as soon as they are out of production.
Always wanted to graft together a Jo-Han 62 Chrysler 300 and 60 DeSoto to make a 61 300G (my favorite Mopar). Haven't seen either of those available in a long time.
