Mark??? Are you there? I sent a PM to you a couple days ago, but no response. Please check and respond. Thanks.
Subscribed, definitely looking forward to progress with the new build. Excited to get my hands on a set of version 2.0 SBB turbo headers
Since this thread is about Mark Burton, can anyone give any really good pictures, or information or prices about the roller rockers? I went to the website, but it doesn't have any information about it at all...no prices or anything...just the same picture as the one posted on here. Interested for sure!
The roller kit is no longer available, but I am planning to bring it back due to popular demand! I have several projects going so it could be a little while, but soon. I'll post it on the website when it's ready. My entire website crashed due to a server issue so I had to start over, hence the limited info. I'm planning to add to the "Products and Services" page as things come together. Thanks for the interest!
I can try to dig up some more pics for you... Basically the idea is that the pedestals on the heads where the rocker shafts bolt onto is milled down so it is flat, and then a chunk of flat bar is bolted onto the head and studs go into that plate for SBC roller rockers. I am not sure what the original price was however it was less $ to buy the conversion kit, buy SBC rockers, and mill the heads vs buying the roller rockers from TA.
Here's a photo of the set I purchased a few years ago from Mark. Unfortunately, due to a factory error in one of my cylinder heads (holes for rocker shaft were mislocated), I won't be able to use my set. So, I will be posting them up for sale later tonight.
I learn something new almost every day on this site. I never knew these existed. Very cool! Mark your stuff is beautiful. You ought to consider going on Shark Tank for an influx of cash and really get your business booming. Cliff
Just seen this now. Hope I see your add, but consider me interested! In fact, put me inline for them. PM incoming.
Well, the snow is finally melted, and I got the engine and trans in the car! I've done some clearance checks, and the new manifold design is going to fit great. Here are some "spy pics" of the rough mockups. As you can see, I've chosen to retain the tried and true "log" style, but with tube main sections by popular demand. I must admit, they look pretty sleek! The tube design also allows the stock dipstick tube to be used. I'll make the build fixtures soon, and get wastegate placement figured out. Once that's done I'll post pics of the finished manifolds. Almost there guys!
Looking great, I look forward to the single turbo setup! I need a turbo setup or the 460 in my tow truck, and one for the 5.3 in my daily driver... Once you go boosted to can't go back!
I too am interested in a single turbo setup... The surge of power that a spooling turbo gives is quite a feeling, Sean. Quite the rush. Plenty of G body cars still available right now where a Buick 350 is pretty much a direct bolt in swap, and could use most of the GN parts available for it, turbo or non.
As soon as the twin manifolds are done, I'm starting the single setup. My car is a factory A/C car, so I have a perfect candidate! I do however need a power steering pump and bracket. The car has one in the trunk, but it is not correct for the Buick engine. I'm VERY excited to do the single kit.
Mark I have a power steering pump you can have for cost of shipping. No bracket though. I'm not sure if you are looking for a brand new one or just something usable. Im loving the manifold design. Keep us posted!
Gary it's pretty cool how much turbo 3.8 stuff swaps over to the 350. I really wish I could swing picking up a decent v6 regal
ya I wouldn't mind having a turbo 8 in my regal with AC....maybe tight though with steering right there, but it would look good in that space. I 'm married, 26, and have 2 kids currently if the money is there I may have to invest in a kit, but I would probably need to upgrade to cap screw rods first. My next build later in years into the future consist of my 2 block (1 in car now 73 block/heads, 2nd on stand 69 block), roller rockers, alum heads/intake...now turbo kit on my list. Nothing like my old buick with car seats in the back lol Josh
mark Did you not at one time make some 8 track brackets? Still have any or willing to make another run?
