I spoke with the engineer that designed these wheels http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-141-7861GM19/ today because I was thinking about getting them for my car with 98-02 f-body brakes. Really cool guy and we ended up talking cars for about 20 minutes. Anyway, this wheel has 33mm of clearance from the back of the spoke to the wheel mount surface. Plenty of clearance and summit has them on sale right now. They come in 18" as well but the lip and spoke are slightly different. My 65GS is going to have the entire brake system from a 98-02 f-body...booster, master, front and rear calipers/rotors with functioning e-brake. And to the comment about them only working on c-clip axles...I think I have figured out how to make them work on my stock 8.2. It is not a straight bolt on like the c-clip axles but I think it will work. I will take pictures and post up a thread if it works. Josh
