Work with the interested parties to complete the sale, in the order that they showed interest in your item. This interest must be shown with a public reply to your thread, Personal Messages (PM's) or emails are not acceptable communication requirements for "getting in line" to purchase an item. We suggest 48 hours as an acceptable time period to allow interested parties to contact you privately.

This is the policy, it has been in place for 7 years now.

    Herb was first.

I understand what your saying Yellowbird, but if I would have made it "I'll buy it" to count as "being in line" then what would have happened is a whole bunch of folks would be backing out of deals, and everyone would be pissed off.

Please follow the rules as published if your going to use the board here for your sales.

    Thanks

    JW

Confusion? What's so confusing? If someone is inquiring about the condition of an item that shows they are interested doesn't it? K.I.S.S.

I sent a PM to yellowbird without reply.

To EVERYONE on this thread, here is ANOTHER reminder of the rules:

Our policy dictates that if you list a part or car for sale, you will in good faith adhere to the following:

1.Post a price for the item being offered.
2.Post a location of the item.
3.Work with the interested parties to complete the sale, in the order that they showed interest in your item. This interest must be shown with a public reply to your thread, Personal Messages (PM's) or emails are not acceptable communication requirements for "getting in line" to purchase an item. We suggest 48 hours as an acceptable time period to allow interested parties to contact you privately.

His last Activity was Yesterday 06:56 AM. I think if a buyer goes through the back door they should get a life time ban period! How come 98% of the people here find the rules clear and easy to follow, this should never happen. It can't get any easier to follow then it is right now. :Dou: I don't get it.

Andy, why don't you give it a rest. These simple rules work great if followed. It is so easy, if you can't follow the rules then stick your parts up for sale else where, and put a link in the "LEADS" parts & cars section? Why screw it up for the other 98% that have no problem following the rules and working with fellow board members. Get over it!

Herb, I have one set of KB covers that are NOT for sale so please no one pm me trying to buy them but if you have a project that you just have to have a set of KB covers to finish it then you can have these and replace them later. Unless the seller and the back door bandit man up and make this right.

I didn't get them....... But I want a set if someone decides to sell a set. I'm collecting kenne bell stuff for a future build. I'm not planning on hoarding them. They would go to a good home and actually be put into use! Lol! I frequent here quite a bit but most times I'm too late to buy the good stuff! Dam hoarders! Lol! Dave

Anyone that knows me or that has seen my collection knows I put my stuff to use.....these were going on top of a stage2 iron head motor.

    Herb,

While I would have liked these, you certainly do not need to justify your purchases. Its your money and your playing within the rules. Keep on keeping on. I don't care if you have 10 sets of these on the shelves. You responded before I did, I can and others should be able to accept that.

It is most of everyone's concern if you try to screw up a good thing with your constant negative comments. I am simply saying that if the rules here don't work for you, there are a lot of options out there like posting where the rules work for you and then you can post a link in the leads part of the board. I don't think it should be up to the mods to baby sit people that have moral issues, that's for yellow bullet not here. Just saying.

    David G de-modded....

On this board, YES. No one has to say "I want to buy your parts" to be considered in line. A question about the item puts a member in line, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

This thread should be locked or deleted..its turning into a circus, over a stupid set of valve covers...

Mark- it goes well beyond valve covers.. YOU know what I am talking about.

Folks, the rules are here for a reason. If they are too difficult to follow, there are other avenues to sell them on.

    Locking this one down.
