Duane the last set of complete door weatherstrips and roorail strips I saw wen for almost 4K its been a while and right now there seems to be several people doing high dollar restos. probably because of Barrett Jackson Like the headlights for 861.00 Might be the right time to sell
That will be worth watching Jim please post a link so I can dream along with the Barrett Jackson types that will be bidding on those I think its been like 3 years since i have seen any sell.
WTF is right! I think that's worse than the $861 for NOS headlights! I can see paying some big bux for the right parts but not for this stuff!

Rich, I have forgotten the details of what we discussed on the parts. I must have been in the mode where I was not in a hurry as the car was sitting and not much being done to it. I have spent a ton on NOS parts for this car only to see that now some of the same parts that I bought in the past are 1/2 of what I spent for the same part. Also look at what these cars are bringing. Even a restored GSX has trouble bringing the cost of purchase and resto if you drop it off at one of the known Buick specialists
Not to worry Rich. Cars and parts are just a hobby, but for me right now its consuming me because I am getting close to the finish line. Its been a learning experience for me as I know i my heart I have way more into my car than it would ever sell for. Mostly because I went for NOS parts when I could find them. I did let some go as I either could not afford them at the time or because I could not pull the trigger on the price with all the money going out for body . paint and drive train rebuild. Since I am so close I am starting to look again for a few small parts I need. Is your air pump a black fan or white? I found an NOS one and it was a black fan.
I remember paying like 125 for the one I have. Its a later replacement part ubut with a fan change it will look correct. I had thought about just gutting mine. Block off the tube so it looks correct.

The parts are only NOS until you install them.....:blast: I have been in this hobby for a long time (>30 years) My plan is to repurpose and restore original parts. Paint, plating, and some elbow grease can get you almost all the way to NOS. Unless you are super anal and rich to boot....:laugh:
All that work can usually get the parts to a condition better than NOS! Then you should be able to get even more $$$$$$!
