I suggest AA local to his address and if not a well check is in order. I've been down this road with beyond awful results, haunts me daily with Friday and Saturday being the worst of the week.
Call the non emergency police number in his town to request a well check. Say he is having a rough time and you are not able to contact him.
He owns a NAPA store according to his profile page, I’m sure he’s known in his community. Who’s going to make the call?
Just getting caught up here,sent him local to him AA meetings,but I recognize this type talk since 4pm and yes, he needs a wellness check or a friend to go by. If I hadn’t had a friend on speed dial while I was eating a 44 mag barrel (literally) I wouldn’t be here today (Thank you Lord). Don’t get embarrassed call one of us PLEASE guy. Praying for you. Thank you Doc. I hope all is well and it is not too late.----- Guy!! The most important thing is to know Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Talk with your family and run don't walk to detox or a good hospital. Alcohol almost killed me and I spent a month in the hospital with the largest case of pneumonia ever seen by my doctors in the hospital and had to detox at the same time. You have lots of friends and family to talk to and it is never to late to get help. I was stubborn and even crying at times and didn't seek help. If not for feeling horrible with what I thought was a bad cold and still drinking I would be dead if not for my daughter who was smart enough to get me to go and take me to the hospital. I thought I would be fine, even my local Dr who did a check up a few days before who I should have sued told me to just get cough medicine. As soon as they xrayed me with a portable X-ray in the hospital while I was in a wheelchair, I was immediately sent to ICU and spent 3 weeks there. I am now 11 years sober without AA. Everyone is different. Please for your sake Not your family, Not your friends, but for YOU!, go for help! If you need anything call me or call one of your many friends and your family. You are the one who has to make the choice. Please, please, please take care of yourself. I hope you get a chance to read this. Everyone is rooting for you and on your side. Again please do not hesitate and go for help.
Well that is good but I remember saying screw it & downing 17 pills(all I had left) washed down with a 1/5 of tequila. But for the grace of God I woke up at home the next morning somehow. Really need to talk to Guy,praying...
