Boy, you guys sure are picky!!!!!!!!! This magazine has far more content then MCR ever did. It is completely in full color, something MCR, or any other muscle car mag., for that matter, ever was. It's articles are actually longer than 3 paragraphs and include alot of technical data. I did notice a few mistakes(probably typos), but overall, I'd say it is the best of the current choices available.

  2. Hmm, the website order page doesn't say anything about a free introductory issue. No biggie, I'll see Dale's in a couple days and check it out.

    What's Wrong

This is actually a magazine devoted to real muscle cars. Not just the most popular and easiest to restore. It does bring in a lot of different cars, but does an exceptional job of giving info about them with nice photos and color pages. Yes, the matchup between the AMC and Wildcat was strange, but they did say it was two completely different types of cars (one rebelious and one refined).

If you want to read a magazine about Mustangs, Chevelles, Camaros, GTOs, Cudas, or anything else covered in Hot Rod or any of the others, don't subscribe to this one.

I for one am glad that a magazine has the b*lls to come out and say that they are going to be different. As the chief editor states, "if you like american-built performance cars that are different, then this is the magazine for you."

I have said this before, but it does also say in Issue # 2 that a two year subscription is available for $18. I have not seen how to order it this way, but it does say that.

    Just my two cents!

I just ran across this magazine at the local Books A Million, so it should be out nearly everywhere by now. I was really impressed with the premise that more coverage was going to be given to the "other" cars out there. When was the last time anyone's seen a Wildcat in any magazine? I am looking forward to this fresher look at the old car hobby. I feel that lack of variety in the muscle car mags is one of the contributing factors to their loss of popularity and circulation over the last few years. Nothing wrong with the mainstream cars, mind you, but I think this is the kind of thing that will bring more interest into the hobby in general. That can only be good for everyone. Thanks, Rudy E.

Three times must be the charm...

I finally received the premier issue after three tries. It looks like it's good 'reading room' material and worth the $12 annual subscription.

I hope my other issues come in a timely manner :puzzled:
