WHOO thats a tight fit. Nice work! I bet you'll notice the difference!

what gaskets did you use on the head side?

    Ken,

There were gaskets that came with the headers. I am new to the header scene so is there a reason why you ask? Are some better than others?

BTW, Carb is great since Thursday I have added cold air induction and now the headers, keep the a/f the same?

I'm not sure why I'm such an oddball, but I have a set of headers that went right on my 83 Regal with a 68 350 Buick engine. Bought them new from Poston I think. I can't remember now if they were for a G body or an A, but I think I bought them for a G body. As stated above, I do know A body headers for a BBB will fit a Regal G body as I have done that install. Anyway, not a deal with the ones I used, now one thing being as I was building a racecar, when I had the Big Block in the car I had slide the engine back as far as possible and made a new crossmember and driveshaft. So when I put the small block in it, headers were not a problem. Just my 2 cents.

Finished the project yesterday with the CAI, relocating the battery to the trunk and finishing the headers.
Starter was the only thing that I had small problems with. The starter shield needed bent down for header clearance so the starter hot connections made contact with the shield, so the shield needed trimmed a bit. The starter shield is also a little tricky to put back on. I found it easiest to place the blot towards the back of the car in first then tighten. Push up on the shield while tight and tighten the rest of the way with a stub 3/8 ratchet. Then I can get to the front bolt very easy.

Performance if very nice with the CAI finished and ported into the front of the rad support and the headers. I am waiting to hear back from Ken at Everyday Performance how much more rich I should get the carb running since I am so less restricted now.

Now to get the 200r4 and 3:42 gears. That should really get my time down.

I suggest the 3.73 gear with the 2004R... This is a great combo, I use it and LOVE IT! I would consider re-locating the trans lines and or insulating them from the header heat.

I thought about that as well, at least I should run an external trans oil cooler.

That car is like my caddy, long legs! I think your car would LOVE 100-120 MPH!

So everything fit without issue? I was recently planning on taking out the Buick 350/ 2004r in my Skylark and putting off to the side while I build a 455 to drop in but being that I have a small budget to work with and an even smaller time frame (Would like to have something to race for Buick day and Musclepalooza at Lebanon at the end of May) I am going to swap the 350/2004r into the Regal before I build the big block. The Regal is a nice car, with good brakes, tires and doesn't develop a lake on the passenger side floor every time it rains. I think my 350 with the overdrive and maybe a 212 or 284 cam and 3.73 gears will make for a potent street car. The Skylark runs 14.1s with that setup, I havent weighed the Regal yet but I am assuming it will be close in weight to my 3500lb Skylark since the Regal is fully loaded.

I think it really is a proper match having a Buick v8 in a G-body and I would love to one day do a turbo setup identical to the turbo 3.8 used in the T-type and GN.
