    Justa350 I'm BACK!

Sooooo, will it support a blow through configuration? I might just have to start stashing pennies away. Top Ramen makes a fine family dinner right?

Good job Nick, almost makes me tempted to throw injection in mine. I actually have a spare BigStuff 3 controller here, an EFI tank, injectors, a few throttle bodies, EFI regulators, etc. All I need is some motivation, have any to spare? It's just hard to justify when my carb is working good now, you need to give me a good run heads up off the bottle to change my mind. Get out here next weekend, I'll be running my points race Saturday and maybe the BOP bracket race they're supposed to have Sunday.

It will probably support blow through physically, but a turbo adds a dimension to the tuning (acceleration enrichment vs. MAP) that is probably not supported in the software. As far as I know Megasquirt, FAST, etc. all have accommodations for acceleration enrichment.

(As a background - as most people probably know, when you stab the throttle the accelerator pump in a carb squirts in some extra fuel because the fuel which is normally suspended in air will cling to the inside of the intake manifold when the manifold pressure suddenly increases, which would cause a lean condition. In a turbo application, this effect can also happen when pressure increases due to spool-up, even without moving the throttle, but without compensation in the software you will get an intermittent lean condition every time the turbo spools.)

Very very cool to read about a successful upgrade like that!
You should see a little better MPG also (in theory) since it should be running more optimum.

Yes it will, there are 2 and 3 bar map options for the system. You can make lots of changes inside the software or not many at all depending on how far you want to fine tune every aspect of the motor.

Artie what event is next sunday? Is it a BOP drag event? I'm interested.

I'm sure it does get better MPG, my only concern is MORE POWER!!!!! And the drivabilty is the best part.

New Powerjection III is the bomb....
Get the complete kit, its only about $100 more $1649.95 & includes the pump, filter, regulator & a gauge. Return line is required.

Here's some info for you guys.

-Self learning Engine Management System (EMS) requires no programming, but can be for those that want custom parameters.

-Same dimensions as 4150-style Holley carb, uses same manifolds, linkage & ram air/shaker scoops don't require modification.

-EMS & most sensors are on the throttle body eliminating 80% of the wiring!

-O2 sensor requires 5/8" hole drilled in exhaust pipe, put on the clamp with it
integral bung and screw in the sensor.

-2.5 Bar MAP sensor allows up to 20 psi of boost in supercharged applications.

-750 CFM Throttle Body (exact swap for a 4150 Holley) w/ fuel inlet kit

    -(4) 62 lb./hr. port style injectors

-Built in EMS (Engine Management System) mounted on the throttle body

-Dashboard Software CD with comprehensive instruction manual

-All harnesses and connectors (Much less wiring than other systems)

-Idle Air Control, Throttle Position, 2.5 Bar MAP sensors - in throttle body!

-Coolant Temperature Sensor, 3/8-NPT threads for most manifolds

-Wideband O2 Sensor and cable, special clamp w/ bung means no welding!

hey Mike T, do you guys still offer supercharger kits, i dont see a website anymore :-(...ah nevermined i used .com instead of .net

and yea, this does seem like the best kit for the money aslong as youre not making 700hp or more

Yes I've got videos of the car. I have a before and after with and without headers, also after the fuel injection install with open headers and after exhaust reinstall.....next video will be from the drag strip this coming sunday hopefully....but I have a laundry list of work to get done to the car and parts to get for a succesfull day.

Great, excited to see all the videos! So do you like the new sound with the headers and dual 3"?

What else are you doing to the car before Sunday?

Sorry guys your gonna have to wait for videos, I'm trying to get it all up and running 100% first. You guys need something to look forward too anyway with winter coming fast.

Update as well here. I sprayed the car for the first time tonight with the fuel injection and it is running STRONG!!! I have it jetted for 150 shot ......after 2 test passes, my fuel solinoid stuck open and flooded the motor, I need to take it apart and see if something is stuck inside it not allowing it to close or the possiblity that the higher fuel pressure caused an issue.....had to push the car home about a 1/4 mile thank god the road is flat this car isn't light!

I thought something in the fuel injection system went bad, looked like the injectors were stuck open till I opened the throttle WOT and watched the fuel spraying out of the plate. I blocked the fuel feed and got the car refired let it burn the fuel out of the intake and all is well with the engine.

So. Let me see if I understand this. For only about $800 - $900 more than a blow through carb, pressure regulator, and pump would cost, I could buy this system and have tremendously better A/F ratios. It is completely ready for 8-12 PSI with no further modifications?? And it will start right up when it's cold..

This may solve lots of problems for me. I hate sitting in a car with a cold engine and trying to keep it running..

I just swapped out the fuel solinoid there was debri in it, when I installed the new brass inlet fitting I tightened it down to mush and some crap got stuck in it. I will disassemble it later for now I have a replacement super power shot soliniod in there.

New drag radials ordered, new air filter, new shift kit....now I just need to get it all installed by sunday.

As a side note I spent about 180$ in braided line and fittings to install the pump, filter and nitrous feed setup.
No nitrous would save you about 15-20$
