I would like to ask about the poly bushings all around also? My project Resto Lark has poly bushings installed on all the suspension parts and also done the body mounts. I haven't hade it back on the road yet since but am i going to be disappointed ( too stiff )?

    hope not :Brow:

Dan I would not worry about it. I have all new front and rear tubular suspension. all Poly bushing. Car handles and rides beautifully! Evem with my skinny/fat tire combo. Not harsh at all. All the bushings are greasable not a single squeak.
I also just had all the body mounts replaced with stock rubber. After 40+ years those things where shot!

Matt keep and eye out for the CPP suspension stuff on sale from time to time. Also I believe UMI is running an after Christmas sale right now on suspension items!

    This is a myth.

Buy the black ones, they have graphite in it and dont squeak. The hotchkis system car i was talking about earlier has these for 2 summers now, greased at the beginning of the season, and they havent started squeaking yet.

I thought about going for poly on some suspension components but honestly I'd just like to see how this car handles with all stock parts before I decide what direction I want to go. My goal is to have a car that won't capsize while turning but also doesn't transmit every single bump like a speed boat doing 60:cool: A nice balance that stays true to what a Buick is while disproving the whole muscle cars are only for straight lines stereotype. I honestly think it is hard to determine that happy medium unless I start from a solid baseline and get everything I can afford as close to factory fresh as possible. Then from there I can pick and choose what needs to be improved. For most here suspension rebuilds will be long term investments that will last years with the car. I do heavy miles on my car so I am not worried about experimenting since it won't be all that long before I am dropping money again on a full rebuild.:TU:

As for places that sell good kits I have looked hard at pst and Moog and couldn't find an all inclusive kit. OPGI and The Parts Place do have some pretty complete kits for reasonable prices though and I just purchased a standard kit from OPG with a 13/16" Center Link ( I hope that is the right size) and all rubber bushings for $400 and I also purchased a rear control arm bushing set for $170

Scratch that, they has an issue with my order so I canceled and bought boxed lowers for $190 with bushings and then I went to the Parts Place and ordered the 4 bushings for the uppers at $10 a piece
