    Tom,
Those cams may be available later this year, last I heard. Nothing in the near future.

Wow! I reached out to Mike at T/A, haven’t heard back yet but if we can’t get something like cam cores that’s not good!

tough to build a motor with so many parts shortages that's for sure

Can't get parts to build it the first time....then what happens when we break something once its together? And we all know stuff will break.

Don't even ask me how long we've been waiting for a Moldex crank. Very frustrating for sure.

Yeah I don’t know how many of you guys watch engine power.it was on this past weekend, anyway John Kasse he was highlighted showing off his big block ford stuff, there’s a guy that really has his **** together! And turns out new parts all the time, makes me so envious I wish I could just put a big block ford in my car actually thought about it.out of the box parts making killer power. I’ve come to the realization that if you’re going to run a Buick the best way is with stock parts with a hot camshaft some head work run into the high to mid tens and enjoy your car!if you want to go faster than that switch brands. It’s just a joke anymore to try and get parts!

Small market with just one main vendor.. always been this way.. when you step to that next level or higher. If we had the market share that Kaase enjoys with the big Fords, or that multiple vendors have with the Mopars and Chevs, things would be different. I look at it as part of the challenge. I had Crane make me Tool Steel Billet 54 MM cam cores, took 18 months. Cost... well if you have to ask...

I think Tom has hit the nail on the head!! My Tomahawk project has been on going since I sold my last supercharged engine. Very sad as I am getting older and my desire to do this is coming to an end.

Yes sorry to vent here guys I’m sure I’m not the only one but here I sit with a garage full of parts I can’t even put my motor together. Really what’s the sense of the aluminum block we don’t have a cylinder head that will even come close to using it to its potential . I know their coming just like the 350 head. I’m done! anyone needs an aluminum block or Crower crankshaft or some really nice connecting rods give me a call

I know that work there were 25 v8 blocks sold.. as well as about the same number of v6 blocks sold...and.. 35 sets of stage 2 heads sold..

    The sale helped!

Hang in there Tom! I am looking at a two-year window for my engine

Jim, just my opinion not that that’s worth anything but maybe the market would grow if we didn’t have these kinds of issues where you can’t get camshafts,We’re all grateful for the T/a block but it does us no good if we don’t have the parts that go with it. That big block head should’ve been out a long time ago! certainly before the 350 head And what was that 16 years in the making. Like I said I’m done I’ll build my factory block put edelbrock heads on it go out and run tens and have fun!

I know exactly what you guys mean about waiting for parts. I waited and thought a long time ago the 350 heads would come out and I could buy them. Now I am at the point and AGE where I am starting to lose some interest in this 350 Buick and I just want to go racing and be able to get the parts I want and put them on. Sometimes I wish I had a Chevy or Ford since the parts are just available for whatever horsepower you want to be at. Waiting and hearing the 350 heads are coming out is starting to get old.

Yeah now 350 head flows what 300 CFM you think you’re going to compete with a hot small block Chevy they have heads the outflow our big blockhead. But I know where I can buy a dipstick tube or a timing tab I just can’t get a camshaft for a $6000 block

I guess you must be talking about cast iron big buick block heads to small block Chevrolet heads right? Because of 300 cfm remark.

for what it's worth I believe Gary said flowed low 410s and makes close to 1200 horsepower. There are other big block 1000 horsepower builds with low air flow numbers which aren't even reaching 400.

remove the max wedge from the 440 and the 440 is in the same situation we are. They don't have an honest-to-god 400+-500+ head.

    It's all about production cycles

Yes I was talking about the iron big blockhead I have track eliminator stage 2 heads that flow 400 CFM also
