I added ANOTHER gauge to my array, an oil pressure gauge to read the pressure at the pump, so now I have two pressure gauges, first one is front, second is rear.
Gotta find a place for my tach, it may only be temporary, as Im going to use it to check the accuracy of the dash tach.
Its a lot of gauges, but they provide me with info on what/how the engine is doing, along with the fuel and charging system. IMG_3433.JPG

Quit looking down at the floor and watch where you're going.:D
Larry and I both told you, replace that in dash tach with an Autometer.:)

I know I know:rolleyes:, I might just do that as I don't have anywhere to mount my small tach.
You guys have suggested ideas and parts before, yah haven't let me down yet:cool:

Mart, that looks really good. I would wipe off the "auto meter" and "sport comp" and fool everybody.

    Thanks Larry!
I do have a factory clock assy. I can use, thanks for the tip;)

Thanks Steve! The names don't really bother me. I did paint the inside of cup housing flat black, so I would not see any white inside rim showing.
Mark, Larry has the link for tach. I cut the silver bezel off, didn't use the glass or sponge seal off the Autometer to get it perfectly mounted as you see in pic.
Also bought a blank dash lens assembly off a member here instead of chopping up my original clock unit. 15449978461372143658812.jpg I did it, so can you!

Oh, if you mount from behind like I did, you will need the blank or delete gage plate assembly, otherwise you will have a hole from the clock stem.
I think Larry cut the lens hole and sunk his tach in front side of plastic dash lens? Mine is as close to factory as I could get it.

Thanks Mart, you just answered a couple questions I had!
So you removed the Autometer bezel and lense, and used a "no hole" factory lense, correct?
I'll use the lense from the factory tach:D

I did not remove the Autometer bezel or glass. Simply mounted it to the dash.

You can take stock tach apart and use that lens. You won't be destroying it anyway.

Larry, post your tach pic after install so he can decide if he wants to go that method. I was a little worried when I peeled the bezel & glass off, figured it's going to work or I'll have a $150 broken tach!:D:D

Here is the only picture I have posted. I can take a better one if need be.

So you punched a 3-3/8" hole threw the plastic lens it's seems. The chrome bezel and tach face is on the outside of the factory plastic lens?
Puts it a little more pronounced, but that's the purpose, to see it. Mine is behind the lens.

No, no lens at all. What I did was just use the square face plate from the clock. The Autometer fit right through it, and the bezel acted as a stop. I used the stock Autometer mounting to the back of the clock housing. Sandwiched the whole thing together, and it mounted to the back of the dash just like stock. Took another picture close up.

I think you could get chrome, silver, or black bezels, but that was a few years ago..... check with Autometer.
