I ordered the 3991 Autometer tach already.
I do like the double digits on the 1490 tach tho, HMMMMMM

I think I'll exchange the 3991 and get the 1490, I like the double digits, mimics the speedo numbering better.
Gives me a reason to go to Summit Racing this Saturday:p

I prefer the ones that go to 10k, no guessing involved.:D:D:D

On the the double digit model, the numbers are slightly in italics, plus my eyes are old so I need the BOLD style!:D

HAHA, I did consider the 10 grand taco meter, but I’d be tempted to try and spin it that high:rolleyes:

Went to Summit today and exchanged my 3991 tach for the 1490 Autometer tach.
I cant believe it fits like a glove into the factory gauge pod like a glove:D
Thanks for the heads up Larry and Mart;) IMG_3461.JPG IMG_3462.JPG

I went out to the garage and grabbed my dash clock, went downstairs, took it apart, and test fit the tach, it dropped right in.
I gave the 10k tach serious thought, HAHAHA:cool:

Putzed on my tach install today.
I removed the chrome bezel, lens, and diffuser ring.
I set the new tach onto the clock housing, glued the diffuser ring back onto the tach housing.
Set the factory black bezel onto the clock housing, then the factory lens, seems like everything should fit fine:cool: IMG_3558.JPG

Just add a shift light and you will be good that looks slick might have to look into that my tach quit working last summer, another thing to fix.

Just think when it hits the "P" in rpm you'll be at about 9500, talk about burying the tach!

I guess back at "0" is 10 grand?
