Tried to get fancy with a picture. Not quite what I was after but not bad at all.

Car next to me in light blue (stratomist?) is a 70 Stage 1. The two convertibles are GS 350 cars. Red one a 72 and the orangeish 71 is a code 62 survivor

Got a good chunk of work done on the car the past couple of days.

    New master cylinder
    New calipers
    New shocks (Bilsteins)
    New springs

The car is "lifted" like my Jeeps now :D (not sure if that's good although the header collectors will appreciate it) . I haven't had a chance to test drive it yet (hopefully tonight if we don't get some thunderstorms). Should be interesting for sure

A quick thing on my list was to connect the speedometer. Cable housing is there. Cable is in the housing. Oh, this should be easy? T400, speedometer attachment point should be right there... wait, that's the bolt on clip for the speedo but it's got something that looks like a freeze plug in there. I'm assuming I don't have a speedo assembly installed in the transmission. Is that something I can install with the trans in the car?

Not my pic but that's kind of what's there.

Would/could this be all I'd need to have a working speedometer?

New shocks and springs. This will take a little getting used to for me.

Has some "rake" to it now. As mentioned above, it'll take a little getting used to. Pretty early 80's looking now other than the wheels?

Here's the rest of the list that's not knocked off. More to discover for sure. I've got some $ summer trips coming up in Aug (Alaska) and September (Australia). Probably not spending any real $ on this dawg until after Christmas?

    80s tach install
    -turn signal cam replacement
    -fix headliner sail panel pieces

Things to hash out I my head.
    -3.0 or similar 9" dropout purchase/install OR 4L80
-over head gauges oil pressure, coolant temp, volts
    -80s looking stereo

That's the one. Kind of an odd color combo but it is what it is. Doesn't look bad at all, just black would seem more natural to me with the Stratomist color.

Personally i love burnished saddle interior, for example, just sold a 70’ gs 350, black saphire on the exterior and original burnished saddle interior, and hey, looks like the car suits her well! Another buick fan in the making. https://v8buick.com/index.php?threa...ire”-the-latest-addition.367613/#post-3184798

The Seedo head may need to be recalibrated. After some time the magnets lose strength , and the seedo can be 30% in error (mine)

Not what I wanted to do but it is what it is.

My guess is the adjustable piece broke on the one pushrod just as I got on it. The still good pushrod was doing it's thing and letting fuel/air mixture in. I had a backfire type sound and knew I had problems.

And here we go...Looks like things are about as good as I could ask for. I'll buy a set of push rods, an intake gasket and some rocker nylon retainer buttons (8). Put it back together (checking/verifying push rod length) change the oil, and fire it up.

When I talked to TA today, it sounded like there should be a part number stamped on the push rods. After a thorough examination of three pushrods, I don't see anything at all. Were there some fake TA pushrods (maybe TA has copies of Kenne Belle stuff that don't have serial numbers?) for sale 15ish years ago when this engine was assembled? [IMG]

You all are the Buick experts. What are people's thoughts?

Just bragging about getting power steering installed. It'll be nice to have. Correct belt is on its way to Napa. This bonus alternator belt works OK for a minute
