casey , check the trans linkage , i had a similar problem on my 2000 , the linkage was out of adjustment , luckily for me it when it happened i had just stepped out of the truck and was able to hop back in and stop it before it drove over the gas pumps at the store i stop at in the morning for coffee and my truck idles at 11mph with the convertor i have ou:
