White bumbly bee stripe, please. Save the aggravation, and keep the white interior. BOTH would mirror each other nicely against red body work! It could only look cooler if it had a white vinyl top too.
Mike, Look at my pile this weekend at Stanton and you can see a red car with white butt stripe and white interior will look like if you did this to your car. Jim
Re: traction in snow That's you Olds guys Dave. Most Mopar owners were too cheap or un-informed to order the Sure-Grip. Why do think there are so many bench seat/column shift muscle cars cars out there??? These weren't all PSMCDR/FAST visionaries or super stock racers trying to save every ounce of factory weight. They just couldn't afford to check off the $36 console shifter and $82 bucket seats option boxes on the order form! I remember that's how I ordered my first new car-a Nova SS. Bench seat, column shift, AM radio. Only option was the 350 automatic. I couldn't afford anything else.
Re: Re: traction in snow Uninformed for sure, Cheap? No argument here. Seems like all the Mopar guys saved up their money for 14 inch long rear spring shackles, 12 inch high "Plymouth" or Dodge" lettering for the quarter panels and the "Wild woodpecker" Thrush mufflers!
Oddly enuf..... Oddly enough, I seem to recall seeing a LOT of 10 and 12 bolt chrome diff covers from under GM products with Gabriel Hi-Jackers at 120psi. Don't forget those gosh awful Anson slotted aluminum rims! The CherryBomb was quite popular with the Chevy crowd, and I seem to recall seeing a LOT of shag carpeting hanging from the headliners of every Camaro on the planet back then. Mopar guys did not have the patent on automotive bad taste! We learned it from the GM guys. :error: Strange........I don't recall any souped up Fords from then either!:bglasses:
I may not have to worry about it. If my buddies wife don't quit telling everybody she talks to that I'm "RIPPING PETE OFF" on our trade I'm gonna dump the stripped out shell back in their yard and get my Road Runner back. I'm in Idaho till next week so that will give her time to calm down I guess.
