Why would a jerico not be legal? I can see a clutchless trans being illegal. jerico has a trans that has to use the clutch to be shifted, I think its the dr4.
Yeah I know . In the rule list above though it says "lencos libertys,jericos etc" I guess the wording should be "Clutchless transmissions illegal" Im not putting a rebuilt taxicab transmission in my racecar ! :grin:
George The trans section will be changed I have discussed this with Rick C it will read no planetary type or clutchless transmissions.They will allow a manual tans but must be shifted using a clutch.Jerico is the only company I know of that has a manual trans that will hold up to big hp that isn't clutchless.So this will be taken care of. I also would like to change the dry sump weight hit 100lbs is out of line.The hp gain from a drysump is no way worth a 100lb hit.The air to water intercooler weight hit should be higher than 75lb considering on some combos a a-w i-c will provide a 100 + hp gain

This should be a lot of fun. I doubt even NA at that tall deck height I can get that much power with the current heads. Maybe 8-900 and then that blue bottle. 4.500 bore isnt big enough and the pushrods would be too long at that deck height --- woops secret. I have a bunch of friends that run the 10.5 tire class locally plus I have set up a few A/S (stock eliminator with a stick ) cars and a Top Stock car with a stick---- soooo... I have a plan . Just as long as I get to race heads up, I'll pretty much be happy. George in DC

Sorry you couldn't make it. We should have the official preliminary rules within the week. We'll leave them posted in case they need "minor" revision's or add-on's but all in all they should be set. Thanks Rick... I'm much happier knowing good parts are going into it this time. Plus good parts are going on top too...I will consult with you on cam selection when I get closer to the bottom end completion. I will be starting with a set of Burek ported TE's and matching Wildcat 4500 intake on a 12:1 464. BTW I'll need a set of headers if anyone has a set they can let go. Wish I could fly to KS and steal Garrisons :laugh: those are Nice headers. They would be wasted on me coz my racecar sits outside,hence the primer paint. Thanks to everyone who thought of putting together a Limited Street minded Buick race,I will be there no matter what it takes.Period.
