The gold special brought $1900 the marroon 67 skylark brought $550 (I got that one) and I forgot to ask about the 65 .

It wasnt too bad of a car but there is no way he can say that the 30K is legit. I already talked to the auction guy. He was looking for verification and could not sell it as real without it.

 

is there a way to find out which cars sold at auction - website? or are you recalling this information from your attendance? i'm wondering what happened with the 66 Riv. it looked pretty rough in the pics, but had some nice parts.

I tell you what was sick............seeing a row of cars , CLASSIC cars being crushed this morning at that salvage yard......just totally wrong....... totally!!

Car has some nice aspects for being 45 years young, but sections are pretty rough and can't be original engine with a 455.

 

That's what I expected. Remote location, not much notice and in December. A lady friend of mine (Vanderbrink Auctions) did a massive project/salvage car auction in that part of Colorado last year.

It's a sign of the times, few people are restoring cars and if they are, for economic reasons, it's only one.

Had I been in Colorado I would have purchased 2-3 of these cars. Hopefully the Boattails and Opel GT's among others - were spared.

I know this is a bit off topic, but how do you guys search CL? Is there some way to "look" through all of CL for what you're interested in? Or do you go city by city?
