Duane, I figured since a few months had passed since you last posted in this thread, I'd kick it to the top....and see if maybe you'd made any headway??
Ya, come on man! Sheeze, I gotta have a set, so I can at least get 1 point in a show...everything else is wrong! BTW, anyone got a picture of a correct NOS seal??? I have never seen one.
hi duane,i would be interested in a set for a 71 455,please let me know when they are available.....thanks ..............ed
Guys, The first run should be soon, but it's coming from another source. I looked at one and the shape was very nice. Now waiting for the foam color to be worked on. Duane
Duane, Are there any pics to post?? :Brow: Will you be doing the 72 in the near future or just concentrating on the earlier years??
If anyone wants to see the difference between the original NOS (yellow) and the newer NOS (grey) colors, and the height differences between the 350's (3.125" tall) and 455's (2.625" tall), here you go. Duane - If you decide to tackle the 72's, let me know if you need a 455 NOS seal to copy. I would also like a few extra sets of the 69-71 seals whenever they are ready.
Derek, Mark Reeves had concours correct 70-71 foams for the 350 and 455 cars made up and was selling them at the Buick events last year. Call Then and Now Automotive at 770-592-4411 and ask for David Walker, aka "The Parts Man". They are very, very nice, and the only correct reproduction made.
