Can someone decode this`66 GS Protecto plate?

    Sure, a locksmith can change the codes on any lock. Just take in your code and they can change it to any code you want...even the original code.

    Brad,i called a local locksmith and i told him i have the key codes for both keys,he gave me a price of $25.00 each does this sound right?

    Ouch!! George, call some more locksmiths!.....
    For what it's worth, I tried to have some duplicates made at the local Buick dealer...They told me a 'code book' was required...which they didn't have. Still, $25 EACH sounds like alot!

    Yea thats what i kinda thought too:Do No: i really dont know where to go?maybe i can send the keys to someone if anyone knows somebody cheaper in there area?Walt did u get my email with the pics?

    Call a few GM dealers...maybe one can do it. If not, take a look in Hemmings. I assume you don't need the keys until you get the car to NY?...that'll give you some time..

    Yes im gonna see what i`m gonna figure out with the keys,first off though i`m gonna have to see if she`ll start,the car hasnt been started since `95 and thats going to be another task,i will send you pics when the car comes,its been delayed and will be here next weekend,any suggestions on the start up issue?

    What is your time worth? Seems like you will spend more than $50 tracking down someone that will do it for $35.
    In the big picture the amount is insignificant.

    I found a sight where you give them the key codes and they cut original Briggs & Stratton keys for you,it cost me $23.00 total for a set of keys to get cut to my code,if anyone ever needs his services the sight is www.key-men.com

    Guys theres a chance i may not be able to keep my `66,something personal came up and may have to sell it,i will offer it to the board first cause she needs a good home,if anyone is interested PM me and i`ll let you know by the weekend whether i will have to sell her or not.

    I just finished her up today with all the oils and WD 40`s and stuff,got some fresh gas,complete tune up,and guess what she fired right up,the ol` nailhead came to life after 10 years of sitting,so if i have to sell her she`ll be a runnin car,gotta go wash up.:TU:

    I fired her up again today and i did a compression test on her,i was so amazed that each cylinder read 150,that motor runs sooooo smoooooth its not funny,i am truly amazed.
