Tim, I would need the entire wheel to mount on the lathe to remove the weld. This process also sometimes damages them if they slip in the chuck. As for rechroming an original shell it's just not cost effective. I have heard estimates of $500 per shell and they would probably grind the stamped lettering off anyway

Tony, PM box should be open now. Please bring all the 70 and older cores you have to Norwalk. I am working on a refinishing process to be able to use cores with bad chrome. If you are wanting the WG style wheels I suggest you send a deposit ASAP since there is a waiting list for them due to lack of cores. Thanks Steve
