Looking for 1970 and older chrome road wheels to use as cores for my reproductions. They can be 14x6 or 15x7, 5 on 4 3/4 Skylark wheels, the centers are the same. Condition of the outer shell is not important. The centers MUST have the chrome face in excellent condition and the lug holes can not be ovaled out. The 14" wheels typically are stamped "Unistyle 14x6" between the beads on the inside where the tire would cover it. 15" would be stamped on the rear outer lip 7.0 or WG. Any quantity from 1 to 50 pcs. Up to $40ea. paid depending on condition. PM me if you have any to sell. Thanks Steve
I will be at Norwalk Buick Raceday in June and also the GS nationals in Oct. Otherwise you can UPS or US postal ship it to me. One wheel from KY to me would cost about $18. Can you PM a photo to me? Thanks

The photo with the pencil is the 1970 and older style. The photo with the tape measure is 1971 and newer style.

I got a hold of a 70 wheel today and can see the differnce now. Maybe a little easier to undersatnd this way. The key is the back of the wheels. Noctice the 68-70 style Point "A" is the flat area near the lug hole. Point "B" is the area at the near edge of the window. They are pretty much the same level. In the 71 and up wheel there is a noticable drop from point A to point "B" with "B" being much lower.
Hey steve I have a bunch of stuff including wheels you may be interested in. wheels bumpers. anyway I have a question I have these buick 15x9 or 10" wheels. they were 15x8s,but were professionally made into 15x9 or 10s. planning on selling these, but dont have a clue what there worth? Help!!!
Depends on the condition of course. If they are show quality $175 to $225ea. If they are driver quality maybe $100 to $125ea. If they are bent and rusty they might make good car stands.

I have the original 14" set off my '70 and they have the stainless trim rings. Wonder if they are worth more or less as whole units or for cores?
I am only looking for chrome wheels. Thanks ---------- Post added at 08:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:29 PM ---------- I am only looking for chrome wheels. Thanks
Steve I have some questions about the wheels. I need a set for one of my cars as the Wheel Vintique ones I bought are trash, they are out of round and local guys can't fix or balance them, local place I bought them from went belly up and WV told me to get stuffed. I have a bunch of old 14" rally wheels here, was wondering (to save on shipping) if a guy cut off the majority of the outer chrome shell with a plasma cutter but stayed away from the center stainless part, would that be ok for you or do you need the whole wheel to separate them properly? Most of the wheels are 71 and up, but there are one or two 70 style in there as well (will have to check). Have 8 or 10... Also, if a guy were to send you some rally wheels, would it be possible to have the centers removed, the outer shell rechromed and put back together and what would that cost? Reason being is the wheels on my Stage 1 are dated coded originals but a rechrome would be nice (after 40+ years, fading a bit..LOL). Just planning things out...
