I am invited out for Thaknsgiving dinner. Can't show up empty handed. Chocolate Dream pie with chopped pecans. Recipe on the box. One of those childhood memories Grandma used to make.
One of my favorites! I'll try to remember to post photos the next time I make chicken lasagna. Uses a white, roux based sauce instead of a tomato one.
So, I fried The ham first and then the turkey in pure peanut oil and rendered the following dishes. They were good. I did a garlic butter infusion into the turkey as I usually do as well as a Morton’s seasoning on the outside.
I have to admit, I slightly overcooked both meats… But the wife likes them cooked well done! So I win no matter what!
Typical Sunday around here. Grilled the steaks with cherrywood smoke , Wife made excellent deviled eggs and mom threw in the leftover hashbrowns from the morning with peppers and onions. Of course I am accompanying the meal with an excellent tequila and the best Cabernet from Washington.
It was small (3lb ) like most rib ends. Open roasting pan, a whole onion cut up course, kosher salt, pepper, and paprika. About an hour and a half @350 degrees.
Yes, went a little heavy on a rib steak last week. Wow! Strong salt and good heat. I’ll turn it down next time to enjoy the flavor. Thanks again.
Did some holiday cooking. Seems that Sausage Balls are a Southern Christmas tradition. Have been enjoying them since moving to North Carolina. One of the cooks that I subscribe to on Youtube is " The Hungry Hussey". Today his sausage ball recipe came up. So I decided to make a batch.
