I would like to see the in-car video of that one. :eek2:

Anybody know what the actual cause was? I've read gas line and tranny line busted. Was the car that caught fire the one with the turbo? Could it have been an oil line from the turbo that busted?

How come the driver wasn't wearing a helmet?

    Wild night.

I don't think it was driver error. It looked more like mechanical failure to me.

It almost looks like a fuel line pin holed and was spraying early onto the exhaust getting lined up. Once the boost went up with the rpm the line let go. It will have a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator to make up for the manifold pressure increasing thus you may have a line pressure of 45 psi at idle, to maybe 60 if you make 15 lbs of boost.

I never like to see that type of incident no matter what kind of ride.
