No water in the block but where I put the bolts won't hit water . I Made a template that locates off the front cover dowels and add the holes when I prep a block. Dave
Wow this is harder than I thought it would be! I am thinking about mounting the motor plate to the front cover where the water pump would go and using a remote mount water pump attached directly to the motor plate. Please give me the pros and cons of this approach? Gary K. how do you run water and connect the radiator hoses? Thanks Mike
Hi Mike - I'm surprised JW hasn't jumped in here - this in the tube car: http://www.trishieldperf.com/Level 4 Specs and pricing.htm - Bill
Mike I did have a "few" hours in it........ Pro's are that once it's done it is done the best way that it can be. Con's are the time and these remote pumps can get pricey.(I got a smokin' deal on a used piece.) I used Weld-on AN #12 male fitting on the motorplate an the new pro lite hose that's only available in black and the stock upper hose. My water pump is mounted off of a brackate that we made on the framerail just behind the radiator although I'd like to eventually go to the radiator mounted pump to save a few water lines.
