Don, Buick Raceday is June 1, 2, 3 at Norwalk, OH. Racing Fri. and Sun. Car show on Sat. Yes sir, the 'green car' is getting loaded up Thurs. night and I'm heading over Fri. morning. If you have never been there it is worth it. The track is 1st class. I have never ran any car there but, from what I understand I should be .2-.4 faster than Quaker City.

I don't have anything planned yet so I should be able to make it. But don't count on it, I'm sure something will come up. I'll be fiddling with the T-Type in the AM and if I get it running right I'll probably be in that.

So how was Panama? Did you know I was there? We were the Police after Noriega was ousted. Spent five months there. Everybody carrys a macheti!!!
Had a few tense moments. Had a lovely girlfriend too. I was sad to have left her, but thats just how things went. She was from Pedregal. I stayed mostly at Ft Clayton and Ft Amador. Interesting place that I really enjoyed. Met lotsa nice people too. Never could pick up the Langauge, but I carried a conversion dictionary to compensate. Good times. Hope your trip was good!

Not sure yet. I think I told you that when I was screwing around with it last weekend I noticed the one bolt hole that the upper plenem uses is stripped out. The neighborhood mechanic said he'd be able to get a heli-coil of the right size at work. Well he forgot so I'm just going to change the brakes on the work car today instead. Maybe Friday night I'll get that hole heli-coiled and fix that vacuum leak.

Yeah, Panama was pretty cool. Everyone has a macheti or a M-16. Nice people, and their city busses are really cheap. I did the same with the Spanish dictionary. I was able to order beer, rice, and beans everywhere I went. I couldn't believe what a dumpy neighborhood the presidential palace was in. Most of it is being renovated and restored from the US invasion now. Noriega's old pimpin' hotel is still bombed out however.

Wasn't it you that said my car hates me! Sounds like a reversal of fortune. Cousin Hoss hasn't been over yet? Maybe you should let him drive everyonce and a while!

Yeah, I know about cars hating me. In the summer of 2005 the Skylark hated me a lot. Wasted shocks, a bad steering gear, a collapsed brake line, a blown up tranny and a mysterious fuel leak. All that's fixed now. The only hokey fix was the fuel leak. I found out it was leaking in the weird system of lines they used to vent the tank in 1971. I drilled a hole in the fuel cap behind the plastic inner thingy and no more leaking fuel.

BTW...The neighborhood mechanic we call Hoss is going to be taking the Skylark into work this week to get inspected. I told him it has under a quater tank of gas. So if he wants to go hot rodding in it, he'll need to fill er up.
