Guide to Musclecars Yes, I remember it well. "Very Few" and the GSX where both featured at one time. Sam
I used to have that magazine! I gave all my mag's away a little over a year ago. I had boxes of them, mostly from the mid to late 80's. Anything that had a Buick in it was in my collection. I used to have one from a Muscelcar Shootout event that Dave Knutsen helped organize at SIR (now PR) in Washington.
I have a pile of that particular magazine. Very well preserved. I may very well have THAT issue too. It's amazing how few Buicks showed up then compared to now. Or at least how little recognition they got. As a matter of fact, there is still those circles of brand x'ers that continue to laugh at the word "Buick".
First time!! The 1st time I saw this car it had less then 20K in 1986 at the GS Nationals. Which by the way was my first Nats. Sam
I hear ya Marco! :Brow: I actually was reflecting a bit last night while flipping through Hot Rod, at how far (to look at the glass half full this time  ) we've come from a recognition standpoint. I mean, Hot Rod DOES get read by just a few people. :beer Way to go Greg!
Don Johnson is/was from Blairstown Iowa. Class winner in '88 at the Nats and runner up in '87. HTH Korrie
Or how about this magazine. Yours truely made the cover when my GS (same GS as in my avatar) was street driven running 11'0's way back in 1988.:Brow: Rick Martinez
It'd be easier with a little less common name (181 results in IA overall). But here's a possibility: Donald Johnson 304 Cedar St SE Blairstown, IA 52209 Add to Outlook 319-454-6417
I've got both those mags, also save just about any magazien with a GS mentioned in it, includig the Motor trend 50th anniversary where the 70 GS road test came in 34th out of 50 most memorable. Also have a very old article of Mr Conleys 70 prototype and black GSX, etc. Greg Gesslers showing in the latest hot rod is very, very impressive. Good job!!! later Tim
